I gotta be honest, this "Dream card seems more like a nightmare to me. I'm just going to go down the card and discuss my personal thoughts on each match and whether or not I think they're likely to happen.
Rhode Scholars vs. PTP ~ I can totally buy that PTP are still together during next year's Mania however I can't conceive that Rhode Scholars still will be. I mean, I know WWE's track record with breaking these guys up and sticking with it or terrible, but I have to think they'll move on by that point. As for the match, I don't like either of the PTP members in the ring, so I definitely wouldn't look forward to it.
Cesaro vs. Swagger ~ Don't really see either Cesaro or Swagger turning honestly. And if they do I don't think it'd be a smart decision. Cesaro seems like the perfect fit for a bad ass heel, and I can't see Swagger working as a face at all. Most faces are good mic workers, Swagger is a horrible one. And while Zeb Coulter isn't, I just can't imagine him being able to get the crowd on his side, except for his mustache. It's certainly possible I guess, although I highly doubt that we'll see the United States title be defended at Mania. But it's more likely than the next one . . .
Ambrose vs. Jericho ~ This won't be for the IC title. I mean it's plausible I suppose, but I just don't see this happening. I definitely don't see this and the US match happening. Granted, it could, we are trying to predict the undercard to a PPV a year away (which is a bit stupid in my opinion, it's simply not possible to do that accurately), but going by what I know, it's been a long ass time since both belts were defended on the same show. I honestly can't remember the last time that has happened. This match minus the title could happen and I'd be down with it happening.
Ryback vs. Batista ~ Ew on all levels for me, and I don't even dislike both participants. I don't really see it happening but if Batista manages to return with the deal he wants, I suppose that makes it all the more possible.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan ~ I'd absolutely love this, especially if Ziggler was still in his second reign, however the fact that I love it makes me think it won't happen.
Trips vs. Shawn ~ It's not happening. 100% guarantee that Shawn will not come out of retirement (and certainly not against someone he's wrestled a dozen of times). All those reports stating that it was in the plans, are complete BS. This belief that Shawn is coming out of retirement feels exactly the same to me as people who still believe Tupac is alive, it stems from the fact that several fans can't move on (granted this isn't as bad as the latter). I just do not fathom this a possibility.
Furthermore, I would not want this to happen, at all. I don't understand people's fascination would bringing back old wrestlers to wrestle people they've wrestled a tons of time in the past. I don't know, my thought process is that if I want to watch a great Shawn/Triple H match, I'll watch this great match on Raw back in 03. I don't want Shawn to return to face someone who he's already had a great match with, especially when nothing has changed (like in-ring ability). Why would I want that instead of say having Shawn return to face somebody he's never faced like CM Punk? But I don't even want him to come out of retirement in the first place.
And look, I'm not trying to be a dick. I'm just expressing my opinion, and it just happens to disagree heavily with yours. I never know how I come off when I start debating stuff.
Taker vs. Cena ~ I definitely believe this will happen and I really want it too.
Punk vs. Austin (seriously, everyone typing Austen is hilarious to me) ~ I don't know, I'm iffy about this actually happening. It definitely could but as Seabs said, I don't see Austin returning to play second fiddle. I think the build would be great, but I can't imagine enjoying the match.
Rock vs. Lesnar ~ This being for the WWE Championship kills it. Could it happen, perhaps. I don't place a lot of faith in WWE. Would I want it to happen? The answer is a sincere, emphatic, 100% definitive, never been so sure of anything in my life unequivocal no. I'm not even going to explain this one.
