Apparently...inside sources indicate that Vince McMahon has only one goal for
Wrestlemania 33...and that is getting Roman Reigns over with the fans.

Not pushing other talent, not ensuring that the main event lives up to the
Wrestlemania Legacy, not making sure that the card is the best it can be...

His only goal is to get Roman Reigns over...

Vince will not admit defeat and will continue with what now seems like a
pointless endeavor.

Apparently Vince is getting "desperate" at this point...

Reigns recently won PWI's "Most Hated Wrestler" of the year...which would
be great...if he wasn't a "babyface"

Roman Reigns Becomes The First Babyface To Win 'PWI' Most Hated Wrestler Award

Now I personally don't understand why Vince continues with this ridiculous
project...but the WWE is his company...so he has the freedom to do what
he wants...even it is poisoning and slowly killing his very own product.

Now I don't want to actually talk about Reigns...cause he just bores me...
but I do have a question for you...my fellow members...

Will Roman Reigns ever get over with the fans?

Your thoughts & Opinions? Do you even care anymore?

I'm not too sure. It seems like they've backed themselves into a corner now that will be very tricky to get out of.

I'm all for a heel turn. It could do wonders for his character and popularity. It might be the only way to go. But then where do they go from there?

If vince's ultimate goal is to have him the face of the company as a good guy, I'm not sure it will ever work that way.
His look screams heel.

As of lately, no matter who he faces, his opponent gets cheered against him.

They could be booed and booed against everyone else. Looking at rusev and sheamus here. But as soon as they beat reigns they get the positive reaction for the time being.

Vince...well more than likely HHH, would have to have something prettyyyy nifty hidden up his sleeve to one day make a successful face-heel-face transition for roman. HHH's mind is about the only one I'd trust with such a task. Behind the scenes obviously.

Vince and Co. may have been able to get the rock over with the fans from what seemed like a colossal failure.... but that was 20 years ago. The world is a much different place now. It went from die rocky die to just an overwhelmingly positive "rooooockyyy".

So in conclusion, yes it could potentially be done... but I don't even know how at this point in time.

If I'm being honest...and I hate to say this...but I
believe Roman is beyond saving at this point...

I think even with a heel turn...its not going to help.
Too much damage has been done, too many other
performers have suffered and too many PPVs have
been tainted or ruined.

I hate to sound nasty or vicious...but I hope Reigns
never gets over and the WWE gives up and moves
on to "push" other talented performers like Cesaro,
Rusev, Owens, Rollins, Ambrose, Balor, Wyatt, Harper,
Corbin and eventually Tye Dillinger and Bobby Roode.

I have to state that I think Reigns is a good wrestler
and his "look" is great...but he is so boring...and the
last person I want to see in a WWE ring is someone
boring.

He would be over straight away with a heel turn. Norte going over with the fans doesn't always mean being popular as a babyface. Neville has recently gone over so to speak.

He can't make it as a face any time soon, not really his fault (shitty booking).

Technically he is probably a better wrestler than Rocky Mavia. That whole charisma thing though.

I can't figure it out to be honest. Vince out of touch perhaps.

Will Reigns ever get over with the fans? Not at this rate.

Also, this is SO true:
Step 1: turn Roman heel
Step 2: profit

Alternatively WWE could just keep his push going and just wait for the fans to succumb to Stockholm syndrome.

Shame Vince is too stubborn, though. Turning heel could do wonders for superstars. See: Neville, Andrade "Cien" Almas, The Usos

Austin, Rock, Hogan, Flair, HBK etc. I didn't really buy into Bret going heel and he did not need to IMHO. Good for Austin.

The only reason I listed Neville, Almas and Usos is because they are the latest example of what a heel turn can do for someone.

And not to mention the names you listed.

But, I guess Vince will remain to be stubborn and proceed to push Reigns as the top babyface. Oh, well.

He could / is taking the Cena approaching adimently refusing to make a heel turn, gives you the heel heat you never changed for. Then all you have to do is wait the half a decade for some people to warm up to the gimmick as it originaly stood and cheer for him again. He will get over I think, just wont be close to instantly.

We'll see on all accounts. Will a heel turn work? I'll believe it when I see it... We were yelling for Orton and Sheamus to turn heel for a while and those turns turned out so well... :pity:

...There is a massive difference between hating Trump and hating Roman...trust me...

And don't spark this into a political debate...
