Will Ospreay's main goal in AEW is to help take the promotion to new locations.
While appearing on the Swerve City podcast, Ospreay was asked what goals he has in AEW and how he's challenging himself. Ospreay said he wants to bring the promotion "everywhere," including countries like Japan, Australia, and Ireland:
Ospreay mentioned Uganda, with their viral promotion Soft Ground Wrestling, as somewhere else he wants to go. Ospreay is a fan of the promotion and has been challenged by one of their wrestlers.I’m a guy that enjoys to see the world, I love doing that. Coming over here, obviously I bring a little bit of flavor in from around the world. But I don’t want to forget about what made me. My main goal is honestly I want to take AEW everywhere, man. I want to do shows in Tokyo, I want to do shows in Osaka, I want to do shows in Sydney. I want to go to Melbourne again. I want to do shows in Dublin.
Today is Ospreay's 31st birthday. He believes traveling has broadened his horizons and helped him mature as a person. Ospreay thinks the best way AEW can grow is by traveling the world:
Another goal Ospreay has is winning the AEW World Championship. On the podcast, Swerve Strickland joked that he should just hand the title belt over to Ospreay now since so many people think Ospreay will be the person who defeats him for it.I know who I am as a human being, but I still believe that is because of everything that I’ve done -- every single person that I’ve met, every fan that I’ve ever shaked hands with, every wrestler that I've ever gone and wrestled. I believe the best way that AEW can grow is by traveling and wanting to do more pay-per-views out in like Japan, Mexico, Canada, England, Europe, everywhere. That’s my goal with AEW.
