Rusev has technically been the face in a lot of story lines already because they were so poorly written and executed.

Exactly...he's meant to be a heel...but his reasons for fighting (mostly to defend Lana's honor)
always seem fairly noble to me. I mean Reigns was a rude dickhead and Enzo was going to
have sex with his wife.
Rusev should turn face, CJ should drop the Lana character and accent and WWE should give the fans a
reason to really cheer Rusev...he's a likeable and at time very funny performer with crushing in-ring skills.

The guy really can make anything work. One of the best talents of this era but instead WWE just megapush guys like Roman and Rollins.
So true. They really have this habit of booking Rusev like a babyface. Enzo creeped on his wife, and Reigns embarassed his wife, beat the shit out of him multiple times, injured him, took his Title, etc. That Rusev v Reigns feud seemed like a case of a bastard heel tormenting an underdog babyface, the whole thing was building to a climax of the babyface (Rusev) finally getting that one win over the bastard heel (Reigns) But instead it was just more Super Reigns and Rusev came out of the feud as a hapless comedy jobber again.
