Ok its been said many times before.
^ Thats 100% true, most didn't care about Versus. But now we do and heres why.
Final Fantasy XIII announced in 2006 exclusively for PS3. For 2 years Square-Enix representatives said XIII would push the PS3's power to its limits(only one PS3 has did that so far)
Then suddenly on a very bad day, Final Fantasy XIII was announced for the X-box 360.
Now many PS3 owners feel discouraged and angry at Yoshi Wada for telling PS3 owners that it would be exclusive for 2 years straight and saying it'll push PS3's power to the limits.
Lets take a look at some games that were originally meant for the PS3 only but made a way to the 360.
Assassin's Creed
Devil May Cry 4
Grand Theft Auto 4
Those are 3 big game franchises. Each of these games were promised to be pushing PS3 to its limits. However once each of these were announced for the 360. Nobody said anything about pushing PS3 to its limits.
This caused an uproar on the internet leaving many people to believe these games were dumbed down in order to equal up to that of the X-box 360 version. Some developers often denied this and some even admitted it. Many believe M-Soft payed these companies to dumb down the PS3 versions.
Now Final Fantasy XIII had went multi-platform and nobody in these recent interviews about FFXIII are saying anything about pushing the PS3's power. So many PS3 owners now CARE about Versus XIII, because its 100% exclusive and a man very dedicated to Sony promises PS3 owners that Versus XIII will push PS3's power. Something we no longer hear about XIII.
This man even threatened to quit his job if Versus XIII went multi-platform. He wants this to really show of PS3's power and he's not letting anybody stop him. He's hell bent on not giving us a dumbed down version.
So yes, this is why PS3 owners suddenly care about Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
