Roman Reigns playing The Rock's brother in Fast & Furious spinoff

Okay, I will probably get a lot of heat by some of you for suggesting that, but what the hell. I'm starting to think this leukemia thing is a work. He never ever talked about it before last october when he made his speech, there was never any mention about it anywhere before and now he is doing a movie while he is battling cancer? I thought he was said he was focusing on his family and recovery... Maybe I'm just going full conspiracy theorist on this, but with all the disgusting tactics WWE has done in the past, I wouldn't be surprised that they would do something like this. Anyone else thought about this or am I just crazy?

1: This was prefilmed before his announcement. According to Wikipedia "Principal photography began on September 10, 2018, in London, England. Dwayne Johnson joined the production two weeks later, on September 24, 2018, after wrapping Jungle Cruise. In October, filming moved to Glasgow to recreate London. Filming also took place in late 2018 at Eggborough Power Station, North Yorkshire." Roman announced his Cancer diagnose October 23, 2018.

2: Why have him finally win only to drop due to a real illness and then give back to Brock "Not My Champion" Lesner?

3: WWE has done low things in the past, but I doubt they will do anything like that in this day and age as they will shit on big time...though fans will still watch and complain

4: If this is all a work then WWE is absolute definition of a Piece of Shit, and this was all done to make Roman the ultimate heel, and I would lose all respect to Roman, WWE, and anyone associated with them.

Just my four thoughts.

I hadn't thought about it, the movie being already filmed before. I guess it's probably just my inner tinfoil hat that's coming back out. Still I had my doubt from the beginning when he made the announcement on RAW, I don't know why the whole thing always felt bizarre to me. But I'm probably wrong and I hope they would not do something like that.

Nah, you are fine, man. Many people would assume that, but people forget movies are filmed like months before they are released and everything, you know. As well, I at first thought it was a shoot or fake until I began to dig for information and such. Also, if this was one big joke or shoot from WWE then fuck them and anyone in their promotion because I had a lot of people in my family die from Cancer, one being my cousin who died from Leukemia.

I know WWE wanted to get Roman over but doing something like doing a cancer angle would obliterate their public image especially since Triple H and Steph founded Connors Cure. Surely one of them would have stepped in and stopped it.

True, but this is another thing that boggles me a little bit... With all the beat cancer stuff they did, you would think that Roman would have talked about it and say how it is possible to accomplish your dreams and become a WWE champion even after beating leukemia, it would have been a good motivational speech. But who knows, maybe he just wanted to keep it private and not talk about it.

he said that he didn't want anyone to know about it, so that our sympathy for him wouldn't overshadow his run. He just wanted people to see him for his work. I don't even think most of the roster knew about his health situation.

WWE would never work an angle where someone pretends to have cancer and movies are filmed many months in advance before publishing. Making a movie is a 2 year project (at least), from planning, to casting, to filming, to editing, etc. and Reigns' announcement was like 3 months ago lol

I mean...The Rock does mention it in the news article. So it's not like nobody has talked about the leukemia since Romans announcement.

First of all, you are able to do movies while battling types of cancer.. if he's able to function properly, then why not?

Also, he never mentioned it before because he didn't want sympathy.

Fair enough, I'm just always suspicious about WWE and the whole entertainment industry.

Well, I never said that nobody talked about it since Roman's announcement. I said nobody not even Roman talked about this before he came out and said he has leukemia nor are there any records of him having cancer in the past anywhere.

Shame. U will now have the Samoan Island Curse cast upon you, and will suffer diabetes for all eternity

LOL to be honest I don't really believe this is all a work, I'm just a curious person especially when it comes to wrestling, they can pull some crazy stunts for the business and not just WWE.

Honestly if it was a work and they got away with it then it would be one of the most brilliant things Vince has ever done. Roman is going to be so over with the audience when he returns. Hes not gonna get booed anymore because of this.
