I don't think I ever had a particular favorite. But Kung Lao (who possesses a hat with blades on it) and Shang Tsung (who can morph into other people and take their souls after defeating/killing them and stuff) were always among the most awesome. If we're counting just our favorites who weren't regular playable characters, then Shao Kahn, specifically from MK2 and MK3/Ultimate MK/MK Trilogy, is easily my fav.
