All Japan used to be the biggest promotion in Japan but has been overtaken by New Japan for a couple of years. Like NOAH they suffer from not having that young a roster and not cultivating any young guys into big stars. Their current champion is Masakatsu Funaki and while he is a good wrestler he is getting on in years at 43. Mutoh (Great Muta) is also not getting any younger.

All Japan needs to start building up new talent if they ever want to reclaim the crown from New Japan but the question is who? Who do you see as the guy/guys that AJPW can invest in and build their future around? Do these guys exist on the current roster or do they need to recruit new talent from elsewhere? Or is All Japan destined to decline further to make way for up and coming promotions and settle into a comfortable third place?
