Christian or MVP?
These are, generally speaking, the two favourites to win it in the eyes of the fans. I know this doesn't go for everyone, but the majority of us have been waiting for MVP to "break out" now for well over a year. It seems he just hasn't been given a shot.
I think if Christian weren't here now, it would be almost unanimous that we would all be pulling for MVP to win MITB, and finally get his Main Event push... But, with that being said, Christian IS here, and that has probably created some tough decisions for alot of fans, myself included.
So who would you rather win the MITB at WM out of these two? Christian, or MVP?

For me, it's really tough. I like both guys, but as hard as it is, I'm really hoping MVP gets to win it. I'll tell you why... If MVP wins it, it actually can help both Christian and MVP. If Christian wins, it really only helps him.
If MVP wins, and goes on to become WWE/WH champion (if he re-solidifies himself as a heel), it does him well, because he gets to be the top guy. But Christian will still be able to, and most likely will, be involved in a feud with him, which can put them both in the title picture, and maybe even allow Christian to win the title somewhere down the line.
If Christian wins, and goes on to win the MITB, WWE would most likely forget about MVP, and he's be cast back in the shadows.

So for me, I'm hoping MVP wins, because I've been waiting for him to break out for longer, and I see this as really his only chance to get into the title picture, whereas Christian will probably be written into multiple storylines around the title and main event scenes in the future. Since only one can win, which one do you hope wins more?

MVP

He's so over with the fans completely, the crowd reaction while he was in the ring at Royal Rumble '09 was bananas. I believe that this is MVP's time to finally hold the HW title this year, I just hope he doesn't pull out a Jeff Hardy and have a lackluster first title reign.

As for Christian, I believe that he needs a bit more time to develop himself in the WWE a bit more. Make him go tri-branded with a few matches on upper mid-card to experiment whether or not he's ready for the ME.

I think that MVP would definately benefit from the win more so than Christian this year. I really don't think Christian is ready to be World Champ just yet. MVP really has the charisma to be a top heel on Smackdown and I really think could have a nice run as WHC. Considering of course that the rumors are true of the RAW roster getting beefed up and Smackdown cooling down a bit. It could be a great place for MVP to finally cement his status as someone who can really go in the main event.
HOWEVER... I think the fact that we're not seeing Christian go for the ECW title after all that build towards it really says something for who may come out on top of this match.

If they can develop MVP so that he completely drops the cheesey spoiled athlete gimmick and goes with a Kurt Angle-esque intensity then the sky really is the limit for him.

I wouldn't want to say who I think should win because I'll just end up saying Kane, but in terms of who will benefit the most from a victory, moneys got to be on MVP.

Hmmmm... "Needs"....Tough Question.

MVP: Pre face-turn I'd have said MVP in a flash but IMO he needs to re-establish himself a little and actually define himself as a face... ATM he just seems to have dropped all his heel characteristics without replacing them.... He doesn't really feel like MVP to me so far.

Punk: Needs to build a little credibility to me and I think he'd be a waste of a win right now... He won 3 titles last year and only managed 1 succesful defense between the lot of them (against JBL @ Summerslam).

Christian: Well it's his ticket outta ECW and I could imagine this happening as it's the lazy booking route to Edge v Christian.

Kofi A long-shot for the suprise win... Would allow proper revenge also on Edge by cashing in on him when Rated-R has his guard is down.

Kane (5 years too late), Henry (That fat ass ain't climbing no ladder!), Finlay (regardless of everything else, you can't let a gimmick like him & 'Swaggle anywhere near the main titles) and Shelton (God, no.. His US run has been dry and boring as fuck as it is.).

IMO, both Christian & Kofi would only get some cheap-ass reign a la Punk or Jeff IF they even won their title match, so based on who I think could (and would get the chance to) run with the proverbial ball, I'd say MVP.

I totally agree with this. As a heel MVP was an interesting albeit annoying character, as a face he's stopped acting like a prick without visably establishing anything resembling a replacement trait in his character. Like I said, I think he needs some of that Angle intensity to turn him into the big deal he could potentially be.

Christian, so he can get out of the most useless wrestling show called ECW. If Christian wasn't in the match, id root for MVP.

Christian will always be a second title champ IMO. MVP is the future. MVP has gone from top ticket mid carder to forgetten about mid carder. His current gimmick is coming to the climax we've been waiting for. He's on a winning streak and only thing left now is to win MITB. As of right now, if Jeff "Young Scott Hall" Hardy can become champion for a small time then MVP can too.

I'm sorry I've never sipped the Christian kool aid, I always thought he was the weaker link. Him being world champ in TNA don't really mean nothing when the rest of the roster is former WWE stars and credible/growing stars on TNA. Plus he's been back for what, a month? And already people are talking Edge v. Christian for the title? Unless Christian's last name is Hogan then he ain't getting a World title shot that quick.

After just watchin MVP win the US title I would say Christian. MVP already has momentum. Christian needs to keep his going after winning the battle royal that only ECW viewers would've seen.

^^Should probably edit that mate, spoilers and all.

I'd prefer it with Christian, but in terms of 'needs' it's MVP, only a few weeks ago he was on a 20+ match losing streak, while Christian has only lost one or two matches if my memory serves me correctly.

I talked about this in my column if Christian doesnt win this, it will be the biggest waste of a fuckin return in the history of this business.

^^^If they eventually do something good with C and build him nicely, however slowly, then I have no probs with his return... IMO the guy's talented enough to not just be fast-tracked into some no-brainer fued with Edge.

You definately would have if you were an ECW viewer.
