Which Program Shoul I Get?

Hey Guys im looking to get into this but could anyone advise which program i should get?? Ive been told Adobe Photoshjop is the best but what others are there and whats the newest?? THanks

Well Adobe Photoshop is probably the best but once you workk out howe to install brushes Gimp is good and if you do not want to use money or trials well.

Photoshop=Illegal download if not buying it
GIMP freeware with Downloadable accaseries(sorry I spelt it crap.)

If you do get GIMP just ask me for any help.

GIMP is not good. If you get photoshop you will pretty much start off with graphics not much worse then Gards' graphics with GIMP. Photoshop really is the best you can get and if you want PM me and I'll give you links to uhh.. :shifty:'Purchase':shifty: it. GardsJr, your graphics are great for GIMP but if you had photoshop you would be so much better. Mark, get photoshop.

GIMP is the worst one and it sucks!

Adobe Photoshop CS+ are all good versions (I prefer CS2/CS3) Photoshop will get you awesome GFX using brushes/ filters and the list goes on... But the problem is, if you're totally new to the software then you won't understand anything.

Therefore you should learn some good basic tuts over here on the internet or get pro training, otherwise it's useless if you use Adobe Photoshop and don't know what to do next.

I'd recommend CS2 personally but do what you like. CS3 to me seemed harder to use.
