I used to watch lots of MMA last year, and maybe about Feb-March of this year, I just stopped watching because I thought it was gay (that's the best I can put it) and I got bored with it. I'm trying to get back into it, because I watched an EliteXC show this week, and it was pretty great. So where do I start this year? What fights should I watch and what shows should I DL or buy, and what promotions are good? I'm hoping this can turn into a "Guide to MMA for new Viewers."

Well the most convenient thing to watch is UFC Unleashed on Wednesday Nights. They give you a run through of some of the most recent decent fights out there. Some episodes are better than others. It's on SpikeTV, then there's WEC WrekCage (or however you spell it) on Versus. That's basically all there is. There really isn't anything you can download or anything that you, I haven't seen anything that great recently. EliteXC comes back to CBS in October free on TV and UFC Fight Night is coming up in September.

Gay huh? The NBA is gay, MLB is gay and the NFL is gay. That would've made more sense. Those "athletes" cry about money and incessantly babble about nothing or just recite cliches.

Start by renting dvds on netflix or go to Blockbuster or whatever you like. I recommend UFC 81 and 82 to start. Also go for recent seasons of UF.

Finally someone who understands!!!

Yea, to get the more recent feel of UFC and see some of the hottest stars, I agree, 81 and 82 are a prime start. TUF is a must watch for any MMA fan, plus it doesn't cross with WWE or TNA.

BTW, Charismatic Edge didn't mention Hockey...:shifty:...smart man.
