How long is it going to take before WWE collapses? I mean, how much longer can it last? Heel turns, heroes, feuds, are all tried and tested things that have varied over the years, but have always come down to the same circle - good guys triumph, bad dogs have their day, but really, are there any current story-lines that are really interesting, really deep?

Creatively RAW is there already IMHO.
Financially they are good for the next 5 years. Some thighs that could do them in though

1. Rating continue to get worse/don't meet FOXs expectations.
2. RAW stays shit.
3. NJPW keeps getting bigger over the next 5 years.
4. A new promotion/all the indies co-operate and are bankrolled by a billionaire. See Cody Rhodes and if TNA/RoH/NJPW keep working togather and are bankrolled.
5. Blow back/embargo with the Saudis.
6. Vince dies (this might improve the product, HHH is better booker now or at least delegates better).

Basically they have to piss off FOX and have the Saudi thing blow up in their faces combined with a new competitor that is better and can match them in scale.

Not for the foreseeable future. Except Wwe to be around then now and forever. No matter how poor quality the programming is.

What is keeping it alive? For example, Daniel Bryan's heel turn is so unoriginal. Ludvig Borga was apprehensive about America's pollution and corruption in very much the same way. The Unamericans weren't far behind and the Hart Foundation had a similar idea. Couldn't WWE come up with more imaginative concepts?

It's wrestling. Name one wrestler who hasn't taken inspiration from a previous wrestler. Bit weird you specifically bringing this up when we have had Dibiase, JBL, Del Rio and now EC3 who are basically the same character but with added on differences. Also this new DBry character takes a completely new edge and is very much topical in this current climate. Plus Bryan is using the excuse of him being vegan as a way to cheat as he thinks he is morally correct. That's fucking genius. There is a lot more to this character then him preaching about the environment. Besides, Borga wasn't even a vegan.

As much as people wanna mock ratings and their recent attendances, stuff like that will never make them close their doors. They're still doing better than ever financially and have been going strong for the past couple of years now, despite the network only being 10 bucks a month instead of the 50-60 bucks they used to cash in for PPV.
WWE's booking/writing isn't necessarily connected to their financial standing, given that advertisers and TV stations still see them as the #1 world wide wrestling organisation (which they still are). Also, as a publicly traded company, it's more of a business than a wrestling promotion.. so as long as they make the right business decisions, they'll be around for much longer than most other promotions, that's for sure.

Therefor, the only reasonable scenario is Vince dying and Triple H not being able to keep it going as a business. We all know that Triple H has a feel for the wrestling and entertainment stuff, but he's still learning and adapting to being a business man. So hopefully Paul's not putting control in the wrong people's hands and still learns enough from Vince before he's able to take full control of the company. Which is still quite unlikely, given that there are so many other people involved in this thing
