This year the 5-on-5 matches are a women's match, and the other is a typical five on five match, but no specific meaning. I mean look back at the Team Angle/ Team Cena match a few years ago, the build-up was great. The team captains picked the team slowly and the excitement and interest in the fued was at an all time high.

In this year's match, we basically have five feuds thrown into 1 match. Matt vs MVP, Jeff vs Kennedy, HHH vs Umaga (sort of), Finlay vs Mysterio and Kane vs BDV. So why would someone say Kennedy want to beat the fuck out of HHH. It just doesn't make sense and it doesn't progress the feuds. I just feel that WWE is doing this because they have to, not because they want to.

Survivor Series has so much potential to create an interesting feud, and yet this is what we get. ECW could get their guys to attack SD's cruisers, and we can get a Burke/Nunzio/Thorn/Richards/Striker vs Noble/Moore/Funaki/JimmyWangYang/Kenny and it would still have more meaning than the match they planned.

And a 5-on-5 women's match. Just goes to show how much WWE values this tradition.

Wow. That's probably the worst 5 vs. 5 I've ever heard of in my life.

Yea there is no way in hell I would want to see that match ever, especially at Survivor Seires. I think the elimination match will be pretty entertaining and I'm interested to see what happens with it. Granted it wasn't buil up that great, but they only had like 3 weeks to pump it so that makes it kind of difficult. My only problem with this year's Survivor Series is Hornswoggle-Khali and the womens match. The Horswoggle match is absolutely assinine and I wish all this Hornswoggle shit would go away cuz I'm very tired of it. I understand you have to have some sort of womens match so that doesn't piss me off as much as the Hornswoggle match. That being said I think this is going to be a really good PPV. Whenever you have Taker in a Hell in a Cell then you know its going to be a good PPV. Also with the return of Edge in some way, shape, or form that adds a lot of intigue to things.

Well, Team Lesnar vs Team Angle had the two top performers in SD as leaders, and it was one more step in their rivalry. Now, I see this 5 on 5 match as a replay from last years match(Team DX vs Team Rated RKO) that was great. I personally like the concept of throwing 5 feuds on one match, as it is one step more for MVP and Matt Hardy, Kane and Big Daddy V before their match(probably a hardcore one), one more step before Kennedy vs Jeff Hardy for the IC title and probably the last step for HHH vs Umaga. If WWE didn't throw all those feuds, we would probably just see Matt and MVP in another silly competiton, or Jeff vs Kennedy in a 6 minutes match, so I prefer this.

I like the concept of putting 5 feuds together. It can give some feuds some steam before ending it the next PPV, and it gives some time for lower card matches we don't usually see.

I really loved the old days where Survivor Series had alot of build up for its teams, It's actually one of my favorite Pay-Per-Views because of it's traditional Survivor Series matches. Not too long ago we had witnessed a great Survivor Series match between Team Austin and Team Bischoff which really had meaning and heat to it because of it's stipulation. Another would be the brand wars where we had Team Raw vs Team SD!. Then starting last year we seemed to have some Survivor Series matches where the participants are somewhat picked from a box. It was very random. and if i recall correctly last year's Survivor Series was only hyped one week on Raw where they had a big brawl with all the teams. This year though , Most said that it was cause it's better to see all the guys slug it out as teams instead of having individual matches so the card could be filled by other matches. Well that could be true but maybe they could have taken out Hornswoggle vs Khali and made another great match between Umaga vs Triple H or something of that caliber. I'm just guessing thats why SS is like how it is now is because the roster is so big now cause of the addition of ECW and they had to use the SS match to compress a card and maximize the use of its talent.

I completely agree, it's kinda sad they do this. Rest of my thoughts have already been summed up, but yeah, Survivor Series just blows now. I don't see how they call it a "traditional Survivor Series" match, it's just some half assed match of 5 feuds thrown together. And mainly the reason for no big SS match like that is because they have NO FUCKING FACTIONS.
