Now I'm not sure if I'll people will agree with me on this but Ring Of Honour was the natural progression of ECW IMO, sure it wasn't based around the hardcore element but it shared the ethos of becoming the future of the mainstream entertainment business earlier than the bigger companies caught on. It was a proving ground for those who didn't fit the moulds or were rejected after inital tryouts for the WWE such as Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe.

Now even if you disagree with this idea, which company could you see taking that spot as the most cutting edge company on the planet? PWG, whilst not running weekly maybe onto something with how special their supercards always feel for example.

Evolve has the potential. They want to push the idea of the athletic aspects of wrestling whilst tying it up with well booked story. They also put a lot of emphasis on a wrestlers style which I find interesting. Where a wrestler can claim to be the best explosive striker in the world. Even holding tournaments to crown the best style from time to time. I like this approach since it helps make guys who might otherwise seem bland seem larger than life. Since they from the moment they earn a contract as described as one of the best in the world.
