This should be in the 'Help Section' and a psd is a saved file on photoshop, png is a way you can save it and upload it somewhere without showing the transparent pixels. You may as well save it as a jpg unless you want something sticking out of the sig (like in mine.) but if you open a sig that you've made and it's a psd you can edit it, a png you can't.

also, the psd is the project. the PSD format you can edit the layers and modify the work. But the PNG format you cant modify your project.

PNG gives you the same quality as the PSD (which is the best image form of resolution).

Okay, so you would need a PSD to change the colour of it, etc?

a PSD can be saved with all the layers being separate so u can go back and change things if needed... a png is just one layer but u can still change it.
