So after Brock Lesnar lost his UFC Heavyweight Championship on Saturday at UFC 121, what's next for him? He throughly was beaten by Cain Velasquez in every aspect.

What do you think is next for the former champ? I personally would have the idea of an automatic rematch being that he got beaten so convincingly and that Dos Santos is supposed to be next in line.

I think that a potential bout with the winner if the Carwin/Nelson fight or even Mir/Lesnar III would be good for him also. He needs to I think get a few more wins before he is given another title shot.

What about you?

He wasn't beaten in every aspect, as we did not see every aspect of MMA fighting. We saw neither fighter pull guard or work out of a guard. No submission attempts, sweeps, etc. There was standup, wrestling, and ground n pound. With that said, no immediate rematch happens. JDS deserves his upcoming title shot.

What's next for him is he needs to get his standup in order. Brock is animal. He has a size and athleticism combo that has never been seen and probably will never be duplicated. Yes Carwin is big, yes Mir is Big. But I would still put Lesnar's athleticism ahead of theirs. I think what fits most is Mir vs. Lesnar III. You've got it 1-1. Mir needs at least 1 more win to get a title shot, and a win over the former champ and a guy who manhandled him in their last bout, would certainly give him a solid chance. He's already evolved when he learned how to be humble and not act like he was at SummerSlam. He now has to evolve his game as a MMA fighter. He's shown great takedown ability with a lightning fast double that looks like it's a 165lb wrestler. He's shown submissions with his win over Carwin. He hasn't shown great standup. He had a nice solid punch on Heath Herring, but that's about it. One other thing Brock has is great poise. He doesn't get rattled. He just has to work the hell out of his standup.

I agree with your thoughts on Mir/Lesnar III. Both fighters have grown since the last time they faced off in the octagon. Brock really showed us in the Carwin fight that he was more than just a ground and pounder and that he could handle being punched (and the Velasquez fight further proved it)... As much as I dont like Mir he proved after the fight with Cro Cop that he isn't quite done yet like some have thought after he lost to Carwin.

Brock's standup does need to be improved, and I feel that was the #1 reason Cain beat him, when he couldn't take him down and ground and pound he was taken out of his element. Brock is a monster, no doubt about it, but he was taken out of his element. Which I had never seen happen to him.

He seems afraid of getting hit. In both his Carwin and Cain fight he was pulling away everytime he got hit. I think Mir/Lesnar 3 would work on TUF. It would give Lesnar more time to condition himself and it lets them put Brock out there without actually fighting. He's still their biggest draw.

I actually heard he is on medical suspension or some shit like that (not exactly sure what it's called and way to lazy to look it up lol) so after that I say Mir/Lesnar III is on.... I said awhile back that Mir/Lesnar on TUF would be awesome and likely the highest rated SHOW on Spike, not just TUF season or UFC program, but show possibly ever lol.

Well you have to remember, he's still very new to the sport. Add that in with his base discipline being wrestling and it's a mix for not liking to get hit. On the other hand, he's got a pretty granite chin. He took the best from Cain and Carwin and it took the ref to step in against Cain.

I really like the idea of Mire and Lesnar being on TUF. The only thing, I don't know if Brock would do it because he doesn't like to let people see how he trains. Really good call on that gerald. Dana, make that happen.

The medical suspensions come from the Athletic Commissions I believe though Adam.

Is Lesnar even a legit coach for a future TUF? He hasn't even been in 10 fights, let alone been fighting long enough to give other fighters advice. Have him fight Roy Nelson, Nelson's a legit challenger in the HW division despite his lost to Dos Santos.

Why wouldn't he be a legit coach??? We're talking about a guy who fought nothing but champions. He's got 3 wins against former UFC champs and his only 2 losses come against a former 2 time champ and the current champ. Add that in with his amateur wrestling background, and yup, I think he's legit. Remember, Brock isn't going to be teaching every aspect. The main fighters are there to help and hype up the upcoming fight at the end of the year. They bring in their own coaches to help with boxing, BJJ, Muay Thai, etc.
