As we all know, Bryan Danielson is a full time Ring Of Honor competitor, but he also competes in various other Independent promotions. Yesterday Bryon Danielson won the PWG championship, and he is rumored to be the next NWA champion...This is quite odd in my opinion. I know there is plenty of guys on the independent circuit who hold belts from other promotions, But with Ring Of Honors PPV deal, and NWA's new television deal, how will this turn out? Will ROH or NWA acknowledge his accomplishments? I'm guessing his stint as PWG champ will be short lived.

Thoughts...

AmDrag IS the Independent Circuit. He has performed all around the world, and won't sell out for anything. He's at the top and I doubt anyone will beat for a title anytime soon.

With the NWA title tournament coming to an end, a reign as PWG & NWA champion is likely. Danielson is truly a legend. How many people can say they've held the NWA and PWG championships at the same time? Does anyone think it's around the time for Danielson to possibly pursue a career with WWE or TNA? He's already accomplished everything he can possibly do on the independent circuit.

Danielson has turned down offers from WWE in the past, but with both SD and ECW needing more wrestlers, it wouldn't surprise me to see him sign with WWE once his contract with ROH runs out... But before that happens, he'll probably win the NWA and ROH title.

I can't say that I think he'll hold the PWG title for long. But I do think he'll have a long reign with the NWA title, and will win the ROH title later in the year. I also can't see Danielson ever signing with WWE quite frankly. He realizes that all WWE would do is hold him back.

More and more people are starting to go back to enjoying in ring excellence, over a "sports entertainment" apporach. The effects of the Attitude era are winding down. If ROH, in the next year gets a TV deal, its going to be an even bigger blow to WWE than their current drop in ratings are showing. Danielson would be a great leader at the start of said TV deal, and really be an accesible champ for newcomers to ROH IMO.

I don't think he will be used properly in the WWE, will as good as he can be. Because i don't think has the look well the WWE look he just seems to be kinda bland in that department and doesn't really have alot of depth to him character wise. Sure don't get me wrong i think he is defiantly the top wrestler in the world maybe just behind Ricky Marvin.. i don't know not the point; but we all know that Wrestling abillity these days in main stream wrestling isn't that huge of a thing, it still counts but plays second to things like Charisma. Thats what will hold him back i think also the fact that he is a small guy and we know how Vince loves to push big guys.

Hopefully Danielson is smart enough to stay with ROH and not go to WWE. I believe ROH will soon take over TNA and become promotion number 2, if they get a TV deal.

Yes, they will. The Respect Is Earned PPV got over 150 thousand buys in a limited market. The average TNA PPV gets around 20-50 thousand buys in a national market. ROH outdraws a lot of TNA house shows especially in the Northeast. All I know is that TNA needs to start upping their product NOW, before ROH gets a TV deal that they like, so they actually have a shot at competing.

i belive that roh will get a tv deal but it will be a shitty deal yeah roh draws better in the north east but thats because they run half there shows there

Yeah but the buyrates for PPV's is really what my point was about. I'll state it again. ROH had over 150,000 buys for Respect Is Earned in a LIMITED market. TNA is lucky to get 45,000 buys for ANY of their PPVs in a NATIONAL market. TNA should be ashamed quite frankly. In fact, I'll bet that ROH could draw better in the Midwest than TNA could.

And people talk about Danielson not having a developed character. Doesn't matter. Bryan Danielson draws in the ring, plain and simple. Again, people are starting to respond to in ring excellence again, and I think Danielson would be an accesible champion for newcomers to the ROH product, especially on TV.

I have a vision of watching Danielson wrestling in the wwe and the fans chanting boring. That's when I bomb the entire arena.
I don't think Danielson would work out in the e. Like said before, they'd probably stick him with a dumb gimmick. Also, let's face it, alot of wwe fans (probably the majority) are alot different than us internet "smarks". They like what the e tells them to like, and Danielson's style is alot different than what they're used to.

I see what you mean. I definitely don't want another Lance Storm type of situation, he was probably one of the most technical sound Wrestlers WWE has ever had to offer, but he was always underutilized, and I see the same thing happening to Danielson. I really cant see Danielson leaving the independent circuit, but then again I thought guys like Colt Cabana and Samoa Joe were going to stick around and that proved not to be the case. ROH is Danielson's best fit, but as Joe, Cabana, and many others have shown...Money Talks.
