I just got done watching Triple H vs Undertaker 1 & 2. I was wondering which you preferred out of the two, and if you think they are better than the two Taker & Hbk had. How would you rank the four in order?

either HBK match >>>>> either HHH match.

I'm not a fan of either HHH match honestly. very typical finisher fests. though the HIAC version felt considerably bigger, probably because HBK is the best

HBK's last match sure is the best. HHH's matches against the Undertaker were good, but were shit compared to perfection, aka HBK vs Undertaker at WrestleMania XXVI

Taker/HBK (WM25)
Taker/HHH (WM28)
Taker/HBK (WM26)
Taker/HHH (WM27)

That would be my order. If you also throw WM X-7 in there somewhere, put it at #3 or #4. Don't know, haven't watched it in years, but from what I recall, it was certainly better than the WM27 borefest.

Punk vs Taker doesn't do shit for me. HHH is a beast, it's great to see a mark hate him so much, because that means he is the best heel you've ever seen.

Exactly this. Easier quoting than typing the same answer on my phone. Either way, it goes hbk, hbk, hhh hiac, hhh. HIAC only felt good cause of Shawn

I loved 27 for some reason. I loved the story at the end of the match where the winner had to be taken to the hospital, and the loser walked away fine. You knew it couldn't be over, and it got settled in a HIAC, with HBK as ref in end of an era. It's hard for me to separate the two because I watched them consecutively last night, but I think they were great. Will watch HBK ones soon again for a fair comparison.

Depends. My favorite watching live was 25, but when you rewatch them I actually thought 26 was the best. The whole story of Shawn retiring and the image of him doing the throat-slash to be ever-defiant even as he was defeated was pretty iconic, only issue live was not living up to the ridiculous expectations the 25 match left for it.

Going back and rewatching the 28 match it was really pretty awful (no surprise, Big Nose is done) but when watching live it had an insane amount of drama. 27 just had the benefit on being on a craptacular show that left us saying "Thank god Taker's here! Whew, finally some entertainment!" so we held onto that match and savored it, because with Cena and Miz in the main event you knew it would be the last thing we'd have to hold on to.

Maybe it's a better match than I remember it being. I only watched it once and it felt overlong then (think it was close to forty minutes) and I just wasn't that into it at all. (Thankfully, someone has uploaded the entire match on both Youtube and Daily Motion, so I'll probably check it out again later today.) I do agree that it was a nice ending to show Undertaker needing to be helped out while Triple H was still standing and able to walk out on his own two feet without any assistance. It also provided a logical reason for them to face off again at Wrestlemania 28.

Speaking of which, I love the iconic image of Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels all three walking out together with their arms draped around each other at WM28. Even though it wasn't planned this way from the start, it felt like closure to a three-year storyline spanning across four Wrestlemanias, beginning with WM25 and culminating at WM28.

That would have actually been the perfect place for Triple H to retire if he had wanted to. (Not saying that *I* wanted him to because he still has more to offer in the ring, but the whole angle and backdrop to it would have been fitting enough. Plus, Undertaker getting to retire both Michaels and Triple H would have been cool.)
