TNA has announced the following for Thursday’s Impact Wrestling:

- With only two weeks left in the annual “Bound For Glory Series” for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, the stakes have never been higher! Thursday’s IMPACT WRESTLING broadcast will feature two huge BFG Series bouts as “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy faces Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, plus Rob Van Dam battles “Cowboy” James Storm!

- What is the condition of World Heavyweight Champion Austin Aries after the brutal attack by The Aces & 8s gang this past week? Tune in for an update on the champ! The TNA roster has gone to war against The Aces & 8s…and the IMPACT Zone will be the battlefield this Thursday at 8/7c on Spike!

- Will “TNA Gut Check” prospect Kris Lewie earn a contract and a spot on the TNA roster? The newcomer faces the judges on the broadcast!

Would TNA consider vacating the title due to Aries injury?

I'm not asking to be an a-hole, I honestly haven't heard: Was Aries legitimately injured at some point? If so and he's unable to work at all, that may be the way they're forced to go. I suspect that if he can work at all, they'd rather have him lose the belt in a match, though.

Unless they're working some angle where he loses the title without losing a match as a plot point (similar in some ways to how he never lost the X-Division Championship?)

I don't think Aries was actually injured no. I was just thinking they could do an angle where they vacate the title, because It would fall right in line for the BFG series.

Aries vacating is the only way I can think of to get Roode vs Storm which looked so obvious with Bobby as the leader of Aces & 8s.

Okay. When it was suggested that Aries vacate, I got worried that he was actually injured.

From that perspective, I can see them using his kayfabe injury to vacate the title and set Roode and Storm up for a title match. It would be especially appropriate if it was Roode who was the leader of A&E.

Good thought.
