Many of us have lost some degree interest of the Shield, and they've gotten stale imo. However they're the easiest characters to fix at WWE atm, and a little bit of attention to storyline detail (and probably better opponents) could make them feel special again.

What are some little things you can do to make the Shield intrigue you again? They're supposed to be hired mercenaries by Heyman iirc, so some degree of why they've run around attacking random babyfaces seems necessary right now.

Your thoughts?

Most disagree with me when I say this but a Reigns or Ambrose WHC run with The Shield is the best solution IMO. They pretty much book themselves after that with the inevitable break up.

I actually like how they aren't rushing shit and how well protected they are. They just need a solid feud.

I don't think they're broken. However, it is time for cracks to start to appear within the group; as Cena is going to need some fresh heels to feud with soon. I'd imagine some sort of jealousy angle will start sooner rather than later.

Honestly, I don't see them as broken or really needing to be fixed. They just need to put more oil on the storyline. They need to have Shield explain who they are and what they do now, because of the Heyman pay-off being simply forgotten. Okay they want justice, but have them address the audience more often, have them actually explain what they want and what they're going to do. They have no target at the moment either, it's simply a case of fighting those who are against them. That couldn't be their goal, surely?

Have them back in the main event scene, or have them go after the WHC belt. I think if they're going to get a big belt, it needs to be the reason they split like R Albin said. I would say have them go against Cena now he's champion, but he literally is the Sting of WWE -- kills all stables.

The shield is one of the few things in the WWE I feel like they are doing right. Just me though, take it for what it's worth.

Well, their characters need some new story behind them and they need meaningful feuds, that's all.

I think its time for them to split honestly. I like them, but I had much rather see them in singles.

They have lost all direction IMO. They are a complete afterthought and don't feel important any longer. They might as well get on with the break up feud, because going over 3 random guys at a time isn't helping anything, and there is no face faction for them to feud with.

Nothing wrong with them except no feud. They are booked strong, and they always look good. They just need a good feud with a good storyline now.

I'm still a Shield mark as I just love Ambrose and Rollins. They still look good, and they do good mic work and in-ring work. But yeah, having random match after random match has gotten old quick. They need to have some purpose behind it and someone, or some people, to really feud with and go after. Not just being randomly thrown into a mix with whoever isn't busy at the time. We need an explanation / background story, they need a split, and they need a feud (or feuds post-split) to start building.
