Let's say TNA grew massively and they were genuine competition with ratings with WWE. The fans were moving from WWE to TNA and TNA just kept going up and up. What do you think Vince would do?

At the moment TNA aren't competition despite what many people think - which isn't a good thing - and Vince probably doesn't care what TNA do/don't do, so he isn't interested in improving his product to keep fans because no one is leaving. All he cares about is dream matches to make the PPV money, that's it.

So what do you think :vince: would do?

The company would actually give a fuck about their storylines in NOT WM season, and overall (IMO) would at least try to be edgier and somewhat better.

He'd have to pull a rabbit out of his hat like he did the last time with the Attitude Era. Although to be fair, you could argue that WWE would have ended up having a successful era even without WCW there as competition. Austin, for example, gave the Austin 3:16 speech a month before the NWO angle completely got going with Hogan's heel turn, and thus Austin was gonna end up as a big star for the company even without WCW beating the WWF in the ratings (which is about the only thing they beat the WWF at, I might add.) Austin's character, as well as someone like Goldust and how much he could push the limits, showed that WWF might have already been slowly creeping towards an edgier product already on their own.

Anyway, Vince likes to copy things, so he'd probably look at what TNA was doing and why it was successful, and then attempt it in his own form. He'd also probably try to buy out their talent, in order to hurt them. He'd try to take things in a new direction as much as possible.

It's a very good question. I'm unsure. They'd probably have to care more about storylines and find a big thing to carry the company, such as Austin or the AE for example.

Depending on what sort of fan TNA was catering for at the time he'd have to pick a market and cater to it instead of like now trying to cater to all areas. As by dealing with them all it means no one area is satisfied.
