I didn't want to ask this in the sports section because it isn't really relevant to those particular sports.

I am wondering, what you consider to be a sport? Like aside from the obvious (baseball, hockey, football, "football", basketball, ect)

Does it have to involve a ball to be a sport? Does it need a team?

To me, anything that makes you physically active or mentally active can be a sport. Such as football vs competitive chess.

Things like Darts and formula one racing are not sports. Big fat blokes for darts and it does not take much energy to throw it unlike something like javelin which you have to run up.

Formula one is just cars going round a track hardly any overtaking, just driving fast really imo

What about Nascar? I get what you are saying. Darts doesn't take much skill, physical or mental strain.
