Overall, I liked it a lot. It was very interesting to me since I didn't even know TNA existed during it's first year, and even if I did, I wouldn't of been able to watch it. I will say one thing that annoyed me was how much everyone kept saying if it wasn't for the guys during year 1 we wouldn't be here. Well, duh! That's true of every successful company ever.

Ok, a few more gripes. I wish they had a few more matches from the first year on the DVD. I can't be the only one who hadn't seen ANY of the year 1 shows, so getting a few more matches would have been nice.

Also, what was the point of the guest appearances section during year 1? They could of just had a screen with a list if all they were going to do was show 5 second clips of them. And the tryout clips really weren't worth being included.

I know it sounds like I'm complaining a lot, but I really did like the DVD, there was just room for some improvement is all.

It brought back some good memories for me. I watched TNA in the first year. In fact, it was that first year that got me hooked on TNA for life, even in its downtime with Russo being a prominent booking figure, because I knew it would get better.

I agree that they should have shown more matches, like the Guantlet for the Gold that Ken Shamrock won, or the first cage match between AMW and XXX (which was absolutely insane, but you'll just have to take my word for it since I have no way of showing it to you).

Also, most of those "special appearances" were actually contracted wrestlers whose contracts are up now (like D'lo Brown), so they couldn't show more than five seconds of each of them for legal reasons.

It was interesting to finally know what was going on backstage during that time. TNA was so new and small at that time that backstage news was hard to find because no one really cared, but I don't know about Raven being TNA's "first big aquisition." What about Ken Shamrock? Former UFC World Champion, and was at one time considered by Vince McMahon as a WWF Champion (I'm talking about the Montreal Screwjob. Bret Hart was willing to drop the title outside of his home country of Canada, and even mentioned Shamrock as a possible person to drop it to), so I dare say he was a big aquisition, about as big as Christian Cage was at his time of jumping ship.

i loved it, best TNA DVD next to the 50 Greatest Moments. I loved the Don West segment where he admits he didnt know what any moves were called and Don West had panic attacks, where they show this picture of him freaking the hell out, but a good DVD to know about the true history of TNA
