This guy had the hotest debut in sometime. He went toe to toe with Kurt freaking Angle and looked good during their feud, even though he didn't come out on top. Now he's in a on again off again feud with Dinero, and being made to look weak. He has the best in ring tactics of anyone in TNA right now. Yet he's made to look like nothing. What are your thoughts on Desmond Wolfe and how he's being used right now?

It seemed like they had big plans for him pre-Hogan, but once Hogan came around he was just sort of pushed to the side, probably in the name of "we'll build him up for a push later." That's fine, but when the same thing happens to Roode, Storm, Hernandez, Young, and MCMG for the sake of Hardy, RVD, Hall, Nash, Jordan, and Abyss then we have a problem.

If they clear out the weeds anytime soon, I see Wolfe benefitting the most from the list of the guys that I mentioned.

Desmond Wolfe is one of my favourite guys in TNA, and its a shame to see him being treated as crap. His feud with Angle was amazing, and it just shows how technical skilled he is. He's also great on the mic, and tbh, I dont think he needs Chelsea at all. Desmond should be a lone wolf (no pun intended), who just lives by out-wrestling everyone and talking smack at the same time. A perfect heel. Again, its a damn shame the way they are using him now.

I think Roode and Storm are in good shape right now. Ever since their heel turn (which was shaky and random, but TNA alignment turn isn't?), they have getting some decent heat and doing well. Hell Storm has been hitting RVD with beer bottles. Fireballs at Hardy. They are actually making those two look good in the midst of the Hardy/RVD circle jerking going on in management right now.

Back to the topic: Desmond Wolfe should have honestly been the heel that Flair endorsed and I think that AJ should have stayed a face. It would have been nice to see this and a Wolfe title feud in the process as well. Add Pope to that equation and you have feud worthy of drawing that has fresh talent headlining

His debut was phenomenal, no doubt about that. For a brief moment after his feud with Angle he even started to get some face reactions during his promos. It's true though, pre-Hogan it seemed a lock that Wolfe and Pope were set to be the next top heel and face of the company respectively. Since then they've both simply been paired off into a gone nowhere feud and both have been pissed away and Wolfe has become nothing more than a lackey to serve 8 beat downs a night on "Team Flair". I'm hoping they're just "getting around" to his push.
I've always said that Wolfe would do great in WWE, his got that WWE look and persona written all over him. He's great on the mic and can seemingly adapt his in ring style pretty well from company to company. I have a feeling when his contract is up if Wolfe hasn't yet received his push we may very well see him up north.

I hate his new name. I can't get past it, and will refer to him as Nigel McGunniess.

Anways, I think he can do some serious stuff in TNA. Joe vs Nigel feud will be great, hopefully with them battling over the title. I think he just needs to get back his spiked blond hair, and he would be set. Nigel could be TNA's next big star. He is certainly more than capable on talent alone.

I love his new look, he looks and sounds like he's straight out of a Guy Ritchie movie.

Desmond Wolfe is in the same category as Hernandez and Matt Morgan. Before Hulk Hogan came into the mix those three stars were suppose to lead TNA into the future.

I actually wanted to see those three guys main event TNA, they all have great looks and unique in ring styles.

Too bad Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff had to come in and literally turn the place upside down.

Yeah, Wolfe has been fucked over pretty badly. I remember a lot of people criticising AmDrag for joining WWE when Wolfe was getting this huge push, but with the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if in a year or so AmDrag is in a much better position than Wolfe. It just seems like Hogan sees him more as a bit part player, rather than someone who can have a real spot in the main event. Just about all of his momentum has now gone down the drain, and with Roode & Storm even looking like passing him by now, it seems he's resigned to being an upper midcarder at best for quite some time. I like Roode & Storm, and think they're two of TNA's best talents, but there's only so many guys you can push, and when most of those slots are taken up by Hogan and friends, I can't see Wolfe getting a push back up any time soon.

I hate his new name. I can't get past it, and will refer to him as Nigel McGunniess.

I would have thought you'd refer to him as Nigel McGuinness, but whatever.

I just refer to him as Desmond McLariat. ;D...Although he doesn't really do the lariatos anymore. :(

I love his promos, and he's got a very technical and methodical in-ring style. It's tough because as has been stated, he looked like he was going to be a superstar, but then Hogan and co. came in and he was just out of luck. He'll float around for awhile, then probably get released. I could see him going back to ROH, or trading places with Danielson, who I don't see lasting long in WWE at all.

One thing I also don't get is...why is Chelsea around? Has TNA not seen she adds nothing to his act? He's working a James Bond like gimmick, so I guess having a babe helps, but otherwise he would be perfectly fine on his own.

LARIATO~

I think Chelsea actually adds another aspect to his gimmick. He's got his old style soccer jersey to go with her (Chelsea/Chelsea FC), and there's also the thing you mentioned, so I think she actually aids the gimmick. Plus a valet can always open up feud possibilities, so I think she's actually of benefit to have around.

I love Wolfe, but I also kind of blame him for Pope being held back. As No.1 contender, they were feuding which killed AJ/Pope match.

He can't help that, so it's futile to blame him. It's just the stupidity in TNA's booking department on show. I'll never understand how they can start a feud so hot with a good promo and the injuring of Pope, only to render the feud just about useless in the space of two months. The fact that they actually got Angle/Anderson right still astounds me when they have Blue decisions around every other corner.

Well they did book a ladder match on free tv which easily could have been the blow off.
