Wendy Choo will be out of action for a little while.
The 31-year-old was yet another victim of the NXT parking lot on Tuesday's show. A backstage segment featured Choo lying injured on the cement and being attended to by Katana Chance and Kayden Carter.
According to a social media post our own Bryan Alvarez sent to his Twitter subscribers, the angle is to cover for a legitimate injury. The nature of her injury is not known but it is not considered "too serious." Choo is expected to miss some time, however.
Choo last wrestled on WWE programming on the February 16, 2023, edition of Main Event from the Barclay's Center in New York. She defeated Dana Brooke on the show.
Choo made her WWE debut in the 2018 Mae Young Classic and was then signed to the promotion in February 2019. She wrestled as Karen Q until adopting the Mei Ying gimmick as part of the Tian Sha stable in 2020. She then wrestled her first match as Wendy Choo in January 2022.
