It's forum money, not real life money. Before it was 500 posts to change your name, now it's $5 forum cash which equals 500 posts (less than 500 posts if you make threads that give you more cash).

When you upgraded one of the things was that you could change your own name, then it went to posts required, now NP.

The 500 post rule has been in effect for over 2-3 months now. You should have complained then. The cash system is no different.
