Don't think it'll work personally, buys are consistent bc the PPVs are more sporadic. Gotta do some streaming thing for more in 2023, even if it's the Impact schedule of monthly streaming specials and then the normal actual PPVs

Yep, it definitely would have to be streaming or mostly streaming. Maybe keep the 4(or 5ci guess with forbidden door) on PPV if you want to do that, but the other ones toss on Max.

I would have to assume it would be streaming if its anything more than 6, already pushing it asking to ask 6x50$ imo

Yeah I assume if they do a full 12 for instance, WBD should assume way less buys for them but maybe it nets more overall for volume. Even if that's true (and I don't think WBD management is that competent to project that properly anyway tbh), I don't think it would help the product. May not hurt but I don't see a PPV a month making things any better as a viewer

The only shows I'd like to see be added as PPVs would be another Forbidden Door type crossover with someone else, something special outside of the core 4

They could turn some of their tv specials into the PPVs also. Winter is Coming, Blood and Guts, Battle of the Belts, etc

Well my counter point would probably that with Collision we have probably too many stories for only 4 ppvs plus a njpw special. Personally I think maybe 8-10 is the sweet spot n that would include specials or lower tier type ppvs

Grand slam and blood and guts would work best IMO just where they fall on the schedule. I'd move Grand Slam a little more after All Out though, also Winter is Coming could work if it was January instead of early December

The problem with doing low tier PPVs is if WBD would be happy with the numbers or if they're being dumb and thinking the consistent 130k can just be done 12 times a year which I see no chance of

oh yeah i would not expect those to be single buys, id have to assume theyd be like 20 or maybe a better idea would be an additional cost monthly or smth idk

I would be perfectly ok with them adding 2 more PPVs to the schedule. I would be semi-alright with them going to 8, but nothing more than that. Maybe do something like the current price tag for the "main four" and then something like 20 bucks off or something for the rest. I get why WBD wants it, as they want more money and think they can get it.

But yeah, Grand Slam would be a great PPV name to have. Really don't like Winter is Coming as it was just a marketing tie-in with Game of Thrones when it first came around.

Andrew Zarian gives updates to PPV schedule on Mat Men podcast just now

He is saying that from what he hears, Max has intentions on live streaming of AEW PPVs, but as of today the infrastructure to make it work isn’t ready.
He believes that as it stands now, All In will be a PPV and will be bundled with All Out through Bleacher Report.
He does think they will eventually go to a once a month PPV schedule once everything is ready.
