The latest step in the MJF worked-shoot saga has seen him removed from AEW promotional spots and commercials.
PWInsider reports that, according to a source at Warner Bros. Discovery, there was an edict issued late last week to remove MJF from all promotional spots and commercials for AEW programming going forward.
"MJF is currently being edited out of any TBS and TNT spots he appears in with different AEW footage replacing him," PWInsider wrote. "We are told that the existing spots with MJF have been officially pulled but it's possible some may still pop up as they transition to the newer spots."
After no-showing a meet and greet during AEW Double or Nothing weekend, MJF wrestled at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view as scheduled, losing to Wardlow. Wardlow gave MJF 10 powerbombs to win the match.
MJF then cut a worked-shoot promo on last Wednesday's Dynamite, speaking about his unhappiness with his AEW contract and how he hasn't been appreciated by the company. Saying that he doesn't want to wait until 2024 to leave AEW, MJF demanded that Tony Khan fire him. MJF called Khan a "f*cking mark" before his microphone was cut off.
AEW has also furthered the saga by taking down MJF's merchandise from Shop AEW, removing him from the company's roster page, and not uploading a clip of the promo to YouTube.
