Now I'll mention one thing at the beginning, you won't see me making these rants very often, but on this occasion, I have to. From what I can gather from the past few weeks from him...
Wrester wise
1) He's not worth the contract he will be on for few matches, no house shows etc.
2) He thinks he's half his age with his 12 year old sister's skinny jeans and nose stud.
3) He's clearly just back for the big payday. Would he have rejoined for day after Mania and have to wait a year like Brock? Don't think so.
4) His promos have never been that good.
5) He hasn't had a single good match performance. HE'S GASSED OUT AFTER ONE MOVE!!!
6) He doesn't come across ever as fan friendly. Very much seeing the business we love as a business instead of as a passion that pays well.
7) He's clearly only back because he's not known too well outside of wrestling.
Now person wise.
He cheated on his wife that had cancer with Melina and Kelly Kelly. And what makes it worse is he spoke about it in his autobiography like his wife was the one in the wrong - go figure?!
LIKE COME ON NOW!!!
He has a great tendency to whine. WWE has gone to his head a little and made him arrogant and he simply whines because he can.
He has nothing to whine about, many wrestlers would kill for his spot and the money hes making. And you wonder why Booker kicked his ass backstage!!!!!
Now to cool down a bit (briefly) I think a lot of people would have been fine with Batista's return if 1: he had returned heel, and 2: he hadn't won the rumble (clean). To be fair, I honestly think regardless of the winner, it would have still pissed people off. They probably would have given the title back to Cena and then they most likely would have begged Rock to come back and win the Rumble.
Now that I'm on about part time, let's have a look at the part timers.
Chris Jericho: He was in the midcard and put young guys over.
Undertaker: Well, he's the fucking Undertaker.
The Rock: He's the 3rd biggest star in the history of wrestling, easily the biggest mainstream crossover. Defined a childhood for many of WWE's current fans.
RVD: Like Jericho, was not in the main event scene and put others over.
HHH: Still a full-time employee, only won one match since his retirement or whatever you'd like to call it, and lost both of his feuds since.
Brock Lesnar: The man's a beast, he regularly puts opponents over even though he has won his last few matches, to the point that multiple people have complained about it.
Now Batista, on the other hand, buried ADR, won the Rumble, and is now in the main event at Wrestlemania, despite clearly not having any kind of buzz around him from when his return was first announced. THAT'S why people are mad, and that's why they're not hypocrites. WWE hasn't failed to make new stars, there aren't new stars to make. Wrestling is on a downswing, there is nobody on Earth that could make wrestling mainstream again, but WWE have plenty of guys to fill the void when they need to. The part timers are a nice luxury, not an absolute necessity. Bray Wyatt. Daniel Bryan. Punk, (if he comes back) Reigns, Rollins, Cesaro. That's seven or eight guys you can build your company around. No, the likes of Wyatt, Cesaro and The Shield aren't quite there yet, but they're well on the way and they clearly have the necessary talent. I wouldn't buy Wyatt/Cesaro/Shield in the main event of Wrestlemania, but I could comfortably see any of them main eventing any other PPV, and by the time the next Wrestlemania comes around, all of those guys will be good to go. WWE's main event stock is not nearly as low as everybody likes to think it is. Rant over
