Welcome fantasy booking enthusiasts to Warhawk’s Wrestling Mulitverse! This mod series has multiple continuities each unique from each other. A few of the main ones listed
TNA Resurgent
Remember when Corgan before his real life work with the NWA worked with Impact and was trying to buy control of the company? This fell through in real life but what if this was not the case? What if Corgan did buy control of Impact and got rid of Dixie Carter? Well this answers those questions.
Quite a few things are changed in TNA Resurgent in this alternate 2016.
A whole new Alliance, The Corgan Coalition is in existence, a trading alliance for TNA and affiliate promotions. This includes TNA having a developmental fed of its own, MCW Wrestling (formally Maryland Championship Wrestling).
TNA/Impact itself is a bit different. Corgan, with the backing of off screen investors has brought in some new talent from other companies as well.
Neverending Monday Night Wars
Think of a world where the Monday Night Wars did not end. Where WCW did not stumble as badly as they did. You are in the right place if that sounds interesting to you!
The year is 2003, WCW is still in business having never stumbled as severely as they did. The Monday Night Wars are in a stalemate. Neither side has been able to gain a lasting advantage for sometime now. The 83 weeks still happen, WWF still takes a lead in 1998 and 1999 but not by as much. Many points of divergence exist, chief among them, Eric Bischoff at the booking meet at Starrcade 1997 gets Ted Turner on the phone, using his best pitch gets Turner to bribe Hogan into taking a clean loss. Another key change is in June of 1998, Jim Cornette and Vince Russo got into a fist fight backstage at a creative meeting. This leads to Cornette’s immediate unconditional release. Cornette after sitting home for July signs with WCW purely to spite the McMahons and Russo. Quickly championing for many younger to be pushed gradually. Another major change, in 1999 Owen Hart got cold feet before Over The Edge, and left the WWF, getting a conditional release and going to NJPW to have an acclaimed series of matches with The Great Muta. Bret does not get a concussion or suffer his stroke but he does leave WCW in 2002 leading to him buying Stampede.
ECW is still around, having held on by a thread through 2001, with several talents putting together money via loans including Heyman mortgaging his family home. They eventually found a buyer, MTV who tried to get RAW but got rejected so they purchased ECW.
WWE despite this is still very strong, having a lot of young talent with upside. Kurt Angle is the current figurehead having the torch passed from Stone Cold to him. Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and of course John Cena are waiting too for the big pushes.
While this is all happening, the NWA launches what they dub “Project Redemption”, this being an effort to rebuild the territories system. With some territories signing promising indie stars to better deals than before. Among these territories is NWA Stampede Wrestling, run by the Hart family. Also among them is NWA World Class, a spiritual successor to WCCW.
In other info from around the game world, AWA returned in late 2002 run by Greg Gagne with the backing of none other than Hulk Hogan as well as WGN Broadcasting. This revival focuses heavily on Hogan’s (He won the AWA title in a battle royal at the first new AWA show) involvement as well as stars of yesteryear with an old school booking mindset.
In other parts of the world things are similar in the UK, Europe, Japan and Mexico. Australia still sees the rise of World Wrestling All Stars picking up WWF/E, WCW and ECW cast offs. Vince Russo after leaving WWF in 2001 he saved The Fed from being crushed by Turner to Andrew McManus and got his backing. He is able to get some stars of yesteryear and some young indy talent on touring deals.
Other Stuff
plan on some other mods being part of this as well, a few interesting concepts have floated through my head. I hope to bring a lot to life in TEW. I might if the mod gets enough traction do a TV tropes page or even a wiki if enough support is shown.
