All 18 fighters for tonight's Powerhouse World Promotions' "War on the Mainland" event successfully made weight for the show on Friday evening.
Well, more or less.
Former UFC heavyweight champion and "War on the Mainland" headliner Tim Sylvia looked significantly better than he has in recent outings, as he weighed in at 274.4 pounds – just under the contracted limit of 275 pounds but almost 10 pounds heavier than the 265-pound limit generally in place for most heavyweight championship fights – with fellow UFC vet Paul Buentello.
"The Headhunter" came in well under the limit at 251.6 pounds.
There was also a slight hiccough in the PWP middleweight title fight as former International Fight League star Matt Horwich came in just over the limit at 185.4 pounds. Opponent Thales Leites had no trouble and tipped the scales at 184.6 pounds.
Jason Lambert (203.8) and Tony Lopez (204.6) had no issue making their light heavyweight title fight official.
In other notable on-scale appearances, former middleweight slugger Terry Martin looked sharp at welterweight, while MMA legend and now-lightweight Jens Pulver looked a little softer than his recent appearances at 145 pounds.
