This is getting interesting. Anyone who is watching the UFC Countdown show tonight saw the story here, and even if you aren’t watching, you probably know. Basically, they used to be friends, and had a falling out. Now, with Wanderlei trying to move down to Middleweight, from LHW, Anderson seems pissed, and is helping train Rich Franklin for his fight against Wanderlei. Seems like a bit of bad blood.
Anyone else excited about the possibility of a fight between these two? Seems like they have quite a bit of a personal grudge. Who do you think would win?

I think if it were before he dropped down Anderson would win, but I think if the match would happen today, Wanderlei would have the upper hand if ya ask me. It would be intense, physical, and an all-out brawl, a match for the ages I think... with Wanderlei getting the victory

Wandy is going to get knocked out imo. He will lose the fight in the first round. His style is way too dimensional recently and it wont case any trouble for Anderson to finish it quickly.

Im saying this because Anderson can actually strike pin-point accurate and this will frustrate Wandy and he will be more opened and Bingo he will be KO'ed.

Especially if they were to be in the clinch game, it easily frustrate Wandy because he was a master in the clinch in his prime. Anderson would catch him with a high knee right between the numbers and KO Wandy.

If Wandy moved down to MW or Anderson moved up to LHW, Wanderlei Silva would get rocked by Anderson Silva both times.

Yes, I would love to see these fight however.

wow it seems as if I'm the only one who thinks Wandy would win lol. Idk, I'm tired of Anderson at times anyways, and this match would prove he doesn't have what it takes to beat someone so fast

Anderson Silva > Wanderlei Silva by a fucking mile!! the only fights Anderson Silva has lost (besides his very first fight in 2000) were against 3 different Japanese guys, one who got the luckiest fucking submission ever, another time when he was disqualified for knocking the guy out with an "illegal kick" and another where he was put in a triangle choke by some Japanese guy who nobody knows (but he was born on 4/20 :D!!!!). I haven't really seen him make any mistakes since his second loss where he got put in the triangle choke. Wanderlei is TOO aggressive and even if he is patient with Anderson Silva he will still get SHITTED ON!!!

(I never really liked Anderson Silva that much until I found out we have the same birthday lawl)

I would say that Wanderlei would have had a chance in the early days of Anderson Silva's career, but Anderson has done nothing but get better and better. He has just bypassed so many other fighters absorbing as much as he can in terms of the different fighting styles. Some of his tactics are more polished than others, but even the styles he is sort of rusty on, could still compete with any fighter who fights the same way.

Sorry Alex, but Anderson would whoop the shit out of Wanderlei Silva anyday of the week and twice on Sunday (a little Steve Austin reference for ya right there lol)

yeah you guys ALL have a point there... I watched a 45 minute video comparing the two, and yeah I will have to agree that Anderson would destroy him
