Walter Harris-Nikita Krylov heavyweight tilt booked for UFC on FOX 10 in Chicago
Just five days after a loss in his UFC debut, Walter Harris has been booked for his next go-’round.
Harris (5-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) will meet Nikita Krylov (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in a heavyweight bout when the UFC returns to Chicago next month for UFC on FOX 10. Promotion officials announced the new fight booking on Thursday night.
UFC on FOX 10 takes place Jan. 25 at United Center in Chicago. The main card, including a main-event lightweight contenders bout between former UFC champ Benson Henderson and former Strikeforce titleholder Josh Thomson, will air on FOX following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and MMAjunkie.
Harris made his promotional debut this past Saturday at the TUF 18 Finale, but dropped a hard-fought unanimous decision to fellow debutante Jared Rosholt. “The Big Ticket†was on a four-fight winning streak when he signed with the UFC. Of his five wins, all have been first-round stoppages.
Krylov, from the Ukraine, made his UFC debut in August, but dropped a third-round TKO against Soa Palelei at UFC 164 in Milwaukee. Prior to that, he had been on a stretch of three wins in four fights. All 15 of his victories are by first-round stoppage, as well, with 10 submissions and five knockouts. In fact, his fight with Palelei was the first time he had been into the second round, let alone the third.
With the addition, the latest UFC on FOX 10 card now includes:
