Viva! Wrestling Federation.

Backstory:

A new wrestling promotion that works alongside and utilises WWE talent.

It was created by Vince Mcmahon and he has placed me in charge of the bookings and total creative control of the promotion.

Its links to WWE are not acknowledged onscreen and is considered a (kayfabe) rival to the WWE. Wrestlers will not 'invade' or otherwise interfere with WWE in any way.

The wrestlers will also not be subject to the draft lottery. Their (kayfabe) reasons for leaving the WWE are a revolt against the backstage politics of the WWE or in someway feel they have been jilted by the company(Similar to the NWO concept).

Outside WWE talent may be used and hired at a later time but initially all of the wrestlers will come from within the WWE or alumni talent.

Premise:

A wrestling organisation created by the wrestlers for the purist fan. Talent is rewarded and the ladder can be climbed in a short space of time.

There will initially be no factions as all the wrestlers work in a code of respect (Enforced by the commisioner). It will be evident from the very start that this code is strained at best and will unravel over time as scheming wrestlers and heels begin to show their true colours.

There will be no heavyweight/cruserweight split as all wrestlers will fight for the top belt. There is just as much chance of a very talented cruiserweight becoming champion as there is a heavyweight.

Roster of 25 men and 7 women.

Person at the bottom of the ladder will wrestle for their spot on the roster or be (Kayfabe) fired during each bimonthly show to make room for 'better talent'.

The promotion is predominantly American but will travel the world regularly. 3 out of the 6 PPVs each year will be abroad. 1 weekly show each month will be in a city outside of America.

Thanks man. I have read yours and got some worthwhile inspiration from it. If this is successful then I owe some of that success to you.

Backstory is very unique. I notice your PPVs are very 2 months, I think that you should make them monthly. Good work on your backstory. Check out BTW if you will, show has been posted

The reason I made it bimonthly was because I want to make the storylines really tight. I hate wasted space in PPVs where you can see that they are essentially making a filler match to fill air time. Im not sure if you can make a strong storyline develop over 4 shows. I welcome your constructive criticism but I want to stick to my guns on this decision. If you let me do an 8 week strategy I guarantee every single match at my PPVs will be exciting.

I will read your thread of course :) You've taken the time to read mine, its the least I can do.

I love the WWE to bits but the only reason they have PPVs so frequently is for revenue. If it was about creating the best show possible then of course the more time you have to build storylines is only going to benefit it. Wrestlemania is the best PPV because the program building up to it starts in January.

Press Release:

The wrestling scoops have been going wild in the past few months with speculation that Eric Bischoff is back with a new wrestling promotion that is set to rival the WWE.

Well that speculation appears to have been confirmed today with the announcement of the Viva! Wrestling Federation.

With many of the top names from the WWE jumping ship from right under the nose of Vince Mcmahon, it appears this promotion is set to shake up the world of wrestling.

The full roster is:

Edge
Christian
Randy Orton
Triple H
Kurt Angle
Mr. Kennedy
Carlito
Ron Killings
Booker T
Rhyno
Juventud
Chris Masters
Chris Jericho
Batista
Shelton Benjamin
Rikishi
Matt Hardy
Jeff Hardy
William Regal
Orlando Jordan
Funaki
Bobby Lashley
Tajiri
Rob Van Dam
Charlie Haas
Lita
Gail Kim
Melina
Ashley
Stacey Keibler
Michelle McCool
Shaniqua

The first event is scheduled for next week in Tampa, Florida and will be broadcast live every Friday night on Sky Sports 3 at 11pm.

I'm a bit lost. You said all would come from WWE or the alumni. Now I definately know that Bobby Lashley wouldn't be willing to work in something like WWE again, and Gail Kim would seemingly be much happier in TNA.

At the same time, I wish you the best of luck.

Seems interesting, different and unique. I'll probably check it out. The only thing is I don't really like the name, it doesn't seem very realistic but you do what you want.

I understand its not likely some of these wrestlers would return to the WWE but its not impossible either. This wrestling promotion does not have any ties to the WWE other then financially.
There is no house shows so it is a reduced schedule. Less then TNA even.
The creative control is given solely to me, the Mcmahons aren't involved in the day to day running of the business.
Talent is rewarded and climb the ladder very easily.
I think these points cover all the reasons why the wrestlers left and so it is possible they might return under these circumstances. Let me explain:

Bobby Lashley left because of reasons beyond his control but has said he did not want to leave. This was rumoured to be because he didn't like the direction the creative team wanted to push his character down.

Kurt Angle left because of the WWEs schedule.

Gail Kim left because of budget cuts.

Chris Masters, Booker T violated the wellness policy.

Rhyno had an argument with his wife in a public place.

Orlando Jordan brought someone unauthorised backstage.

Rikishi was told to lose weight and didn't.

Juventud had disagreements with some wrestlers backstage and performed a banned move in the ring.

Tajiri went back to Japan

Rob Van Dam just wanted some time out of the ring but is going to come back at some point.

Stacey Keibler left to pursue modelling.

Lita left because of fan reaction brought upon because creative turned her heel after her affair with Edge.

Shaniqua had a bad attitude.

Eric Bischoff just wasn't needed anymore.

I think under my new wrestling promotion it is possible any of these might return. It wouldn't be that much of a stretch of the imagination. If anybody really disagrees with any of these points I'll change the wrestler before the next show. I just wanted to explain myself first.

I'll also put the name of my wrestling promotion up for a vote. If more people think it should be changed then not by Sunday then I'll change it. Just write yes if you think it should be changed in a reply or no if you think the names OK.

Thanks everybody for taking the time to look at my page and I really do welcome the constructive criticism.

Like I said before I will look at anyones page who has taken the time to look at mine. Its the least I can do.
