I have not watched this yet, and I wanna preface this by saying that I don’t dislike Russo the way a lot of other people do, but if he’s gonna try to say that same drivel about how WWE caved then he’s lost his way and he’s being a hypocrite according to his own words, because Vince always used to say that the reason why he was better at booking than most people are today was because he said that he would always listen to the fans, would have his fingers on the pulse, and would often during his shows make sure he was out in the crowd seeing how fans are reacting and would book towards the things that were getting reactions.

So if he’s gonna try to say the fan shouldn’t have their voices heard, and that you shouldn’t book towards a superstar that’s getting the best reactions, then he has completely done a 180 from the way he used to talk about the business and the way he used to book himself.

Thats because Vince Russo always went by who he thought should be pushed and not the crowd. Look at Booker T. in WCW. All of his world title runs werent that long because lets be honest he was a feeder for Scott Steiner (and nobody can tell me his WCW main event run was that good before he got hurt, he was constantly dropping the belt every 2 weeks to somebody). Same goes for Samoa Joe. It's tragic that he only got ONE world title run in TNA

That’s not entirely true. If you go back and look at the attitude era virtually everybody that got over got pushed up the card. And when they attempted to put someone up the card and didn’t work, they stop trying. Like with Billy Gunn. And also say I’m not sure what you mean in WCW either because Booker T. was a four time champion by the end of WCW and Scott Steiner was also incredibly over.

TNA was a bigger mess because he was not the head writer there. He was in a committee of people that all were fighting over what they wanted in creative. Which was TNA‘s biggest problem they wouldn’t just have a head writer.

But even still you had fan favorites like Christian break out in the main event there. Angle was the biggest star ever and he hopped over so of course he was going to hog the spotlight for a good chunk of that time. We still had quite a few AJ runs in there.

It wasn’t until Hogan came in that they really stopped listening to the fans and I think that’s what fucked Joe more than anything because I think if Russo and the committee were still running the show in 2010 Joe would’ve easily had another two or three runs.

Yeah he was a 4 time champion but from August-October he was playing hot potato with Jarrett and Nash for the belt. His first 3 runs cracked over 100 days in total while the 4th run was his longest singles run, only because WWE kept the title going when they brought the Invasion in. His 2nd run with the WCW title was a whopping 8 days. You can't tell me that was a good run for him.

Not saying it is or isn’t. Just saying he was pushing talent the people paying the money wanted to see. He still booked how he books, of course.

Just saying that he’s clearly now singing a different tune. There’s quite a few interviews where he was quite proud of sitting with the crowds and watching reactions so him saying now that WWE caved is just hypocritical.
