Vince Russo blames Rollins for cutting into other wrestlers' time

Seth Rollins is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in all of WWE. He has been on a roll as of late and continues to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with. That said, it appears that Rollins was criticized for cutting into other pro wrestlers’ time.


Over the past few years, The Visionary has seen many changes in his character. From 2019 to 2021, his heel work ensured that fans hated him in a big way. That said, his stock rose a lot in the past year, thanks to his excellent feuds with the likes of Edge, Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul and more.


Fans also cannot help but sing along to his entrance song, which sometimes takes over the entire show for a while. This was very evident during WWE’s recent trip to Paris, France.


While speaking on Writing with Russo, former WWE writer Vince Russo criticized Seth Rollins for wasting time inside the ring. Russo pointed out how Rollins’ habit “elongates” his segments and eats into others’ screen time.

“I don’t know what Seth’s excuse is. I mean, my god, I would like to be in that dude’s head. I don’t understand the point of getting them just to sing four or five times, and it’s doing another thing others don’t understand. It’s cutting into other people’s times. You’re now elongating your segment so that other people’s match times are gonna cut down. And like I said, once or twice, we get it; I don’t understand the point three or four times.”

Seth Rollins is set to square off against AJ Styles in the finals of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament at WWE Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia. We’ll have to see if The Visionary will come out on top and become the new champion.

I mean, my god, I'm sure WWE would probably kill to get even more, similar reactions from the live audiences for various talents on their roster. ...and "cutting into other people's times"... yea, because THAT is why WWE constantly fails to properly build characters and stories or fails to give people appropriate opportunities to make some steps forward.

Eh not to defend him but I don't think that's his point, it's any time being cut not match times he means. And it makes sense thinking about it from his booking bc if someone went over on a segment by 3 minutes, Russo would have had to cut like 7 segments

im not the biggest fan of the gimmick overall but it's more personal taste/liking him more as a psycho heel. Id be foolish to to not admit I am in the minority and the crowds love it and go crazy for him though
