Donald Trump famously appeared at WWE Wrestlemania in 2007, where he bodyslammed WWE founder Vince McMahon and subsequently shaved his head.

Now, according to a new report, the wrestling mogul doesn’t want any of his talent to weigh in on the republican presidential nominee.

The website Daily Wrestling News reports that McMahon has imposed a company-wide gag order on all media inquiries related to Trump.

This comes after former WWE wrestler and Celebrity Apprentice contestant Maria Kanellis blasted Trump for the comments he made in the leaked 2005 Access Hollywood tape.

“He must have a very low opinion of the females that he’s worked with—maybe not females in general, but to say something like that about a married woman, it’s disrespectful, rude and uncouth,” Kanellis said. “At least, of the women he’s made these comments about, he must have a low opinion of them.”

McMahon and Trump are reportedly longtime friends. And the wrestling mogul’s wife, Linda McMahon, has previously run for the US Senate in Connecticut as a republican.

Wish Vince McMahon could put this gag order on everyone in the world about both candidates.

What a body slam

But on a real note, I guess it's a good way to keep his talent away from being blasted due to their connections with Drumpf.

Wrestlers should try to keep political and religious views out of the public's eye as much as they can in my opinion.

Yeah it's not like Austin Aries did a tweet saying "Trump is a good Celebrity but not a good president and Clinton is a good corrupt politician, but not a good president" and I retweeted it...hehe...

I seen these already and agree with him. Both of them aren't good for presidency. It is a shame one of them is going to win though.

This was what immediately came into my head when I saw this headline. My perspective legally would be no, he cannot unless it specifically says in their contracts that he can. If it doesn't, then I think this action of his could seriously damage him in future lawsuits when he uses the "they are independent contractors" defense.

He doesn't have to renew their contracts though so there is that.

I agree with Vince, I am not American but I think the American people are gonna lose on this election. The McMahons are Republicans but they have never struck me as the hard core conservative religious type or altright types and AFAIK they have never used WWE programming to push a candidate or party in any major way (individuals tied to the wrestling business?).

We have Republicans in New Zealand but they are more Reagan or Eisenhower types they were not blind to Bush's flaws let alone Trump. They are either not voting or voting Democrat this time around.
