I hear a lot people complainin' about the price bein' raised for $69.99 for most big titles now. I don't have a problem with this at all since it's just inflation and was bound to happen. I think it's just poor people groanin' about it. I'd rather groan about the malicious microtransactions that shellin' an extra 10 bucks for a game that you'll probably spend hours playin' and gettin' your money's worth out of it the end. Of course, there are so many games now and a lot of lower budget releases and re-releases that there is sumthin' for everybody.

How does every here feel about this? I think it just makes sense overall.

There's no reason for a game to be $70 when it's unfinished and you have to buy DLC to actually have fun

Games should be $20 to buy off the shelves given the way they're made now.

Not really speakin' about those disasters but there is a lot of insider knowledge these days that you should be able to tell if a game was rushed out and isn't gonna be complete.

Games rising in price is nothing new. Earthbound when it was released was $70, in part due to the strategy guide that came with it.

Microtransactions are a bane on the video game industry, and this pay to win model is what turns me off instantly to many games.

However, paying for DLC I will never complain about, especially from my experience with Paradox games such as Crusader Kings II. DLC enhances the experience and generally should bring a new level of challenge and strategy.

I feel like the only get raised in price because it costs a lot to make them, of course, with better graphics you're going to have to spend more money. But it's not just with video games. Everything is fucking raising in price lately, it seems.

Inflation is driving up prices while minimum wage has essentially stayed the same since the late 80's. That has a lot more to do with why everything feels so much more expensive.

If it had everything included, like games used to back in the day, I wouldn't give a shit, but, paying that price and then having to pay for more things, that's ridiculous. I am not poor by any means, but, when I spend my money, I want it to be towards a finished product. Don't sell games at full price if they aren't even complete, that's bullshit.

Fuck buying games at full price at launch.....treat this shit like freemium since that's how the developers treat it.

This probably won't affect me like some people. The past few years I've been buying less and less games and becoming more patient with my purchases. I usually heavily research a game before I buy it. I usually knows which ones are 'wait for sale' and ones I'll buy at the launch period.
