Video game of the Year 2008

2008 has been an interesting year to do with console games, we've seen some fresh titles and some new concepts come into play this past year. GTA IV, LittleBigPlanet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Gears of War 2, Fallout 3 all have been nominees in the Spike Video Game Awards. But here on the forums, which video game in your opinion deserves to be Video game of the Year?

Grand Theft Auto IV rockks imo. :thumbsup:

GTA IV = heavily overrated. Saints Row 2 is even better. :n:

Anyway i'd probably vote for MGS4 tbh. It had the best gameplay, best cutscenes (for those that could stomach the length), and a cool ending. That was the best 1 to me anyway.

Saints row is to clumsy and the controllers are bad imo, i couldnt stand playing it and i returned it to blockbuster within the hour to get something different. I haven't played 2 but someone i worked with did and he agrees with me so i didn't bother trying it. I like how you can completely make a character but the rest of the game doesn't go well imo and GTA is ten times better.

Saints Row 2(but I've yet to play a few games that I'll get to play for Christmas)

So I'll make my final choice after Christmas.

Resistance 2. So many improvements and it has the best multiplayer and a sick co op campaign. Might have said Fallout 3 if the ending wasn't so fucking terrible and i haven't played MGS4 yet still going to beat the first three. I've seen Gears 2 pretty much the same as the first one but it probably has the best single player campaign.
