Mr Kennedy Credits Steve Austin For Getting Him into the wrestling Business

I give “Stone Cold†Steve Austin credit for getting me into the wrestling business. I watched wrestling when I was a little kid, but I wasn’t a fan through high school. Then one day I was at a friend’s house and he forced me to watch RAW. He told me that I would really like this character called “Stone Cold†Steve Austin. I never heard of him, but as soon as I saw him I was hooked. I started watching wrestling every week just to watch him and then I got sucked in and became a huge wrestling fan.
Recently, Steve has been on the road with us and I’ve been able to sit down with him and pick his brain. He’s been a mentor to me. He’ll watch my matches with me and tell me what I could’ve done differently. He tells me to go out there every week and have the best match on the card and strive to continue to get better and learn about the business. We’ve got this awesome library at the WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. It’s this huge room filled from wall to wall with wrestling tapes. It’s wrestling heaven. Anytime I want something from the ’70s or ’80s or something from the last few years, no matter what promotion it is, I can just call the office and tell them I’m looking for some Mr. Perfect stuff or some Tito Santana stuff or Steamboat stuff or Flair. I just name a name and they’ll put a tape together with four or five matches and send it to me.

- The open challenge match that was announced yesterday on WWE’s website is probably going to be filled in by some stars from the past. WWE had a deal with an unspecified team to come in, but the deal fell through. The current working idea is for Sgt. Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka to be their opponents. Snuka is Deuce's adopted father, so that would be an interesting match-up if it comes through. They acknowledged that Snuka is Deuce's father in the Greatest Families DVD that was released earlier this month, although they have yet to do so on SmackDown.
- King Leonidas, the character from 300 is on the SD! bio page to promote the 300 movie. This isn't the first time WWE has gotten unusual stars to be on their page. Last year, Jack Black as "Ignacio aka Nacho" was on the page to promote the release of Nacho Libre.
- Some highlights from King Booker's kayfabe radio show on AM790 in Houston this afternoon:
Early on in the show, Booker promoted the storyline of the McMahon blow-up, believing someone will be arrested on Raw this week.
The show opened with a tribute to Sherri Martell, and King Booker talked about Sherri's finer moments getting mixed up in the ring with guys and fans. Booker said he will be one of the pallbearers at Sherri's funeral next week ... When the topic of Mr. McMahon's death came up, Booker talked about the list of suspects in the blow-up, while providing his alibi that he was on a plane when the blow-up occurred, so he's not a suspect ... In character, Booker cut a promo on Mick Foley for being in the WWE Title match at Vengeance despite having no credentials for a title match, only a best-selling book. Brother Devon called in near the end of the show and did a little business to set up Team 3D vs. Booker and a mystery partner at the next PWA show on Friday, June 29 in Pasadena, Tex. Booker said Team 3D is getting a little fat and they're not as hungry as they once were years ago. Devon chided Booker that his partner is going to be the one who wears the pants in the family, Sharmell.

Due to the recent draft moves, several of WWE’s real-life unmarried couples have been broken up.
Kenny Dyskstra & Mickie James are just one of the pairs that has been separated, followed by Johnny Nitro & Melina. Also note, Dykstra & James are currently engaged. It’s also being said that Bobby Lashley & SmackDown Diva Kristal Marshall were also an item, but they too have been broken up from being together on the road due to Lashley's move to RAW. Seeing how SmackDown and ECW worked the same shows, they were on the same schedule and able to be together on the road.
There's also another WWE couple in CM Punk and Maria. Although, they were broken up the minute Punk was brought up to the main roster last June.
