CHARACTER HISTORY

Much like many masked wrestlers, her real name is kept from public record and with it, most of her history prior to the life of wrestling. But the Captivating masked star of MAYHEM has given glimpses to her life prior to wrestling. Starting young like several top female performers in the country, Vampiress started her training in early High school, to the dismay of her parents. So much so that she wrestled under a mask from day one, though the Vampiress name did not happen right away. Instead, eventually, as she was scouted by the units in the company, she was drafted into SIN, a group of freaks and villains in Cosmic Joshi Wrestling. There she crafted the Vampiress persona properly, creating an appearance to feed off of her negative emotions and inspire beauty and fear into her name. She started off well after joining SIN, winning the “Young Blood Tournament,” a tournament held by the company for wrestlers under 19. Then eventually won her first Trios titles.

However, as she matured, and her family found out who she was (and thus the long process of getting them to accept her dreams), she grew dissatisfied with the group, both with how they would routinely step over the line, and the leader. Things came to ahead where in a tag team match she walked out on her team, getting away from the group. She was a loner for several months, and even was on a losing streak. Eventually, Vampiress found a home in MAYHEM, after a vote unanimously accepted her. Finding a new lease on life, she got the ball rolling again, starting to team with another member, ironically one she beat in the finals of the tournament she won years ago, Ririko. Then, almost a year later, MAYHEM got a foreign member, a rare sight, especially after the pandemic. That girl was around her age too. Cali Hayama. Much like MAYHEM gave Vampiress a new lease on life, it was the same for Cali and the three young members of the group instantly clicked with them winning the company’s Trios championships, Vampiress’ second reign, and they would become the Trio to beat.

Their reign ended at 315 days after Cali Hayama, having been unable to really focus due to her US commitments, hesitating and costing them the match. Tensions nearly blew up, but they were calmed by MAYHEM’s leader and their mentor, Saori Sazuki. Afterwards, (in a promo I’ll probably write and post soon) Vampiress reveals to Cali that she wishes to go on a tour in America, and while she is not under an AMA contract, the company has agreed to allow her the chance to make occasional appearances in the company. Now, the AMA fans are able to have an occasional treat from the unique, alluring, Vampiress.

REGULAR ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION

The beats of “Preserved Vampire” rip through the speakers as the lights of the arena flash purple, red, and pink. Smoke builds as after 13 seconds, Vampiress makes her way out, cape flowing behind her. She holds her arms out wide near her hips before holding up the “MAYHEM” M, then doing a small throat slash with her finger before making her way down the ramp, cape continuing to breeze behind her.

Pierce Donovan: any possible entrance commentary

As Vampiress goes down the ramp, she keeps her arms out wide at her hips. At the end of the ramp, she does a small “throat slash” before walking around the ring and sliding onto the apron, unclipping her cape. Leaning down, she once again holds up the MAYHEM “M” before flipping herself, hooking both her legs on the top rope and hanging upside down like a bat.

Jasper Phoenix: further commentary if needed

Swingning herself between the middle and top rope, Vampiress heads towards the center of the ring, arms once again near her hips and she spins around, holding her hand down in the signature “M” and sticking out her tongue. Her theme music fades as she gets to her corner.

FACTION BACKSTORY

Forming in 2018 from the dissolution of the group of the Tokyo Death Crew, Saori Suzuki refused to be absorbed in another group, feeling vengeful at the forced dissolution of TDC. Her voice was echoed by a portion of fans, and while she could not carry the name of the old group, she felt she had something to offer and bestow upon other members. Having a call to anyone feeling left out of their group or feeling alone, soon MAYHEM was formed, and their goal, simple, Screw the System, and together they will show that when nothing is fair, anything goes.

Some members would enter and leave, but by late 2019, this message ended up speaking to Vampiress. She joined the group. After the company returned post-pandemic, she got back on track and then Cali Hayama would join the group. Together they would form a regular trio with Ririko, another young member of the group, and the three were practically in sync as a team, each being a bit unique, with Cali being loud and brash, Vampiress being at times quiet but cunning, and Ririko being the wild-card with an abnormal combination of being able to kick faces in and throw people around. With Cali opening the door (which is NOT forbidden) to America, Vampiress is the first to give it a chance and on occasion, plans on joining Cali in America, or if there is an opponent she has a hunger to face.

ENTRANCE

The opening beats to “Welcome to Mayhem” plays and the lights flash a mix of violet, green, and an occasional white strobe. After about 12 seconds, Cali Hayama makes her way out followed by Vampiress. Kneeling down on the ramp, Cali Hayama points her finger like a gun while masked Vampiress looms over her, arms out near her hips. As the bass drops, Vampiress does a small “throat slash” with her finger as Cali Hayama jumps up and they head down the ramp.

Pierce Donovan:

Cali Hayama leads the way, walking at a bit of a faster pace. Behind her, Vampiress walks, cape flowing, arms out near her hips. At the end of the ramp, Cali looks behind her and nods at her tag partner before running and sliding into the ring. Vampiress walks around to the side of the ring, doing a small throat slash. The Asian-Canadian Baddie runs and hooks her leg on the rope on that side of the ring as Vampiress unhooks her cape and slides onto the apron under her. Both ladies hold up the “MAYHEM” M.

Jasper Phoenix:

Cali gets off the ropes as Vampiress flips herself upside-down by wrapping her legs on the top rope, acting bat-like. Getting on the turnbuckles, Cali Hayama looks out at the crowd, holding her finger out sideways like a gun. Vampiress swings herself in the ring then Cali jumps down and the two meet in the ring to repeat their pose from the stage before heading to their corner as their theme music fades.
