I guess Big Van Vader (Leon White) tweeted that he only has two years left to live. Apparently he has some heart problems.

I am always against doctors giving a time stamp on someone's life. I think the will to live really does make a difference in dying patients.

I love Vader. He was one of the first wrestlers I have ever met. He was a kind and gracious guy. He could have had a much better career too. He was a dominate monster in his WCW run and WWE just sort of screwed it all up. I enjoyed everything about the guy.

Here's hoping Vader hangs on for more than two years. The last time I remember a wrestler being on limited time, it was John Tenta (Earthquake). Another kind man taken from this world too soon.

A lovely message from Mick Foley concerning Vader and I completely agree.

"IT'S TIME...TO PUT VADER IN THE HALL OF FAME
I have been talking with Leon White the past few weeks, so I knew the news might be coming. But seeing it in print this morning was a shock nonetheless. Leon is dying. He has been told by doctors that he may have less than two years left to live. His legacy is so important to him, and he has told me that being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame would mean so much on both a personal and professional level. On a global level, Vader was one of the greatest attractions the pro wrestling business has ever seen. I have talked with people at the highest levels at WWE, and hope and pray that Leon's name will be included in the class of 2017 Hall of Fame inductees."

It's pretty heart breaking. But yeah, I hope they induct him into the Hall of Fame. Like Foley said, Vader has always been very proud of his work and proud of his legacy in the sport. There are much less deserving people than him in the HOF so I hope they put him in.

He gave a lot to this company, more than most wrestlers had. For someone his size to work a full schedule had to be taxing on his heart. I will lose a lot of respect if they don't induct him.

Sad thing is I could see this being all a ruse by Vader. He's lied about his health before not to mention the whole Ospreay debacle earlier this year were he worked the entire British wrestling community into getting him a payed vacation in England

Well hopefully not. I'd hate to see a whole Andy Kaufman thing surround Vader's death.

Vader is definitely a HoF.. his cameo in 'Boy Meets World' alone was HOF worthy. Hopefully this is false but it wouldn't shock me with how his lifestyle has been for years.

On the subject of Vader being a hall of famer: Definitely.
He was a big name in America and in Japan. Arguably one of the biggest foreign names there in his era. 3 time IWGP heavyweight champion (being the first non Japanese to hold it), 2 time AJPW Triple Crown winner. 3 time WCW heavyweight champion and multiple tag team titles spread out over multiple companies and continents.

This is sad news...but its plain to see why his heart would be worn out.

Leon is a true legend of the industry...its just a shame
Shawn Michaels had him buried back in the day.

Any guy who pops his own eye back into its socket
to continue a match deserves everyone's respect.

I don't want to derail this thread, but has anyone ever posted a list of unworthy HOFers? Bushwakers and Koko B come to mind
