There has been a major push from Bonnie Hammer and the USA Network for WWE to step their product up, due to the recent ratings decline.

Apparently Hammer is even sending memos to WWE suggesting ideas and storylines. Reportedly she wants a more Vince Russo-like product and wants to see names like Steve Austin, John Cena, Chris Jericho and the McMahons featured.

Hammer wants WWE to have something like it did back in its Attitude era.

I really don't know what to make of this.

Does she realize that Vince Russo pretty much destroyed WCW?

What I think you're missing here is in the WWE Russo's ideas were filtered through McMahon who had final say on everything, in WCW for a while Russo had the final say on things which allowed him to go too far in being "out there" for him to succeed.

She's not saying hire back Vince Russo, but it seems more like she's saying; "Lets make the show more unpredictable and must watch like it was back in 96-01" y'know?

Also finally, I'm not defending Russo in WCW it was pretty terrible, but WCW was already pretty much in its death throes by the time he got there, anything he did probably just sped up the death of teh company which in and of itself may be seen as a mercy killing.

That I can agree with you on. It has become rather predictable and stale.

Sorry, but booking David Arquette and himself as World Champion was his call, and basically were the final two nails in their coffin.

This is actually good news. I really hope Mcmahon offers a big contract offer to Vince Russo and then he can leave TNA and come to WWE. That allows TNA to get better while WWE can get better too because whatever Russo does will get filtered through Mcmahon so it wont be 100% Russo. Plus, it wont be as stale as it is now. I mean, pretty much every match on The Great American Bash was predictable except maybe the CW match. Lets just hope this is the wake up call WWE needs and maybe they can turn things around

this is vince mcmahon were talking about remeber? the likely hood of him signing Vince Russo, and the likely hood of him dishing out big $$$ for jericho is slim to none. no matter how much i'd love to see it, theres about as much of a chance of that happening as of Cena losing the title before WM 24
