Interesting that Brock will be on nearly every Raw from now to Battleground and then half of them leading into Summerslam as well. Well, it's at least good to know that Raw won't completely suck for the next two months anyway.
With rumors buzzing that Brock Lesnar will make his first WWE appearance since the night after WrestleMania tonight (June 15, 2015) onRaw, there's a list of dates that The Beast Incarnate will appear for WWE floating around the dirt screens.
Scanning the "Scheduled to Appear" section of WWE.com's events page confirms them, so it looks concrete enough to share and start picking apart. Here are the dates:
June 22 - Raw, Indianapolis
July 4 - WWE Network special, Tokyo
July 6 - Raw, Chicago
July 13 - Raw, Atlanta
July 19 - Battleground, St Louis
July 20 - Raw, Kansas City
August 3 - Raw, San Jose
August 17 - Raw, Minneapolis
There are a couple of noticeable absences...tonight's show, and SummerSlam itself. The latter is probably just a technicality. Lesnar has been featured on every August pay-per-view (PPV) since his return to WWE in 2012, and they're unlikely to leave their biggest draw on the bench for this year's big move back East to Brooklyn.
Tonight is a little more intriguing, but could be explained by wanting to keep it at least officially a surprise. The former WWE champ is an expensive surprise, however, and Vince McMahon has typically opted to promote his appearances rather than conceal them.
There are signs that things could be changing in how WWE approached booking Brock, however. The house show in Japan is the biggest example, of course, but his presence on what is traditionally a B or C-level PPV in Battleground, and on just about every Raw that builds to it (provided he does in fact show tonight) feels new.
Of course, that's likely all necessitated by the single decision to use him for July's show in Missouri. That leaves Creative with just a little over a month to explain why he's back, how his suspension was lifted and build to a match. SummerSlam is more likely to be a rematch and/or already have pieces established during the preceding months on which to lean.
Excited for Lesnar, and his Advocate, Paul Heyman, to return? Who do you see him fighting, and how should WWE set it up?
