- After impressing WWE management at a tryout before the last set of ECW and Smackdown tapings in Philadelphia, the Briscoe Brothers (Mark and Jay) were invited to a week long tryout in Florida. The Briscoes have completed the tryout, which ROH knew about, and now they wait to see if they are offered a deal. [Credit: Pwinsider.com]

- WWE has made another amendment to the wellness policy. The fine for a marijuana test failure or for breaking the policy's alcohol rule (WWE performers are prohibited from using or consuming alcohol at any time within a twelve hour period prior to any WWE event or WWE scheduled performance) will now be $2,500. The fine used to be $1,000.

Honestly, I can see the Man Up catchphrase getting over with the ughh... "WWE Universe".

And the fine for weed/alcohol is just stupid. Its not like any of the wrestlers are performing when they drunk and/or high.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Briscoes in the WWE, probably because that would have to mean they plan on making the tag division legit, right?

The comparisons to WWE/WCW/ECW and WWE/TNA/ROH are so amazing looking at the latest happenings in all three companies. ROH's talent gets borderline raided, TNA pulling out all the stops including signing Hulk Hogan to compete with WWE. WWE only trying something huge when they are possibly, and I stress possibly, on the verge of getting real competition.

You don't know that at all. I'm fairly confident that quite a few people perform intoxiated, either way.

that 12 hour alcohol thing is stupid, it should really be 6-8 hours.

.

I don't think so. They split up Carlito and Primo for no reason. Legacy have been doing absolutely nothing since their feud with DX. Jeri-Show just split up. Those guys in ECW aren't getting any type of reaction at all. Only teams that's doing something are DX, Cryme Tyme and Hart Dynasty (who are in a never ending feud). Tag Teaming in WWE is over. Most that are a tag team seem to split and do nothing after or get no where.

Fining for marijuana is idiocy in the first place. But that's a whole nother debate that WWE obviously is not interested in. The alcoholism I can actually see though. I agree 6-8 hours is far more reasonable, but why would you be drinking in the afternoon/early evening before a show anyway? Usually when I drink it doesn't take me 12 hours to get sober again, that's just silly. lol.

Briscoes will look like the toughest guys in FCW due to them no selling everyone else.

The Briscoes will not last in WWE tbh. They can't sell for shit and Mark will get injured in a matter of time leaving Jay to pretty much be a singles guy anyways, if they are signed they won't last long, doubt they'd make it to TV tbh.

These guys are old timers and aren't wrestling anymore but....
Jake Roberts
Greg Valentine
Andre (rip)
Jim Neidhart

To name a few.

Kevin Nash and Scott Hall had to have been drunk back in their WCW days. Just look at 'em.

Like Kiz said, I meant currently.

And yeah, there are some pretty hilarious promos out there on youtube where Nash and Hall are drunk. There's one Nitro where they're at spring break where they looked really shitfaced.
