Update on Taker's Return

During an airing of Friday Night SmackDown this past week on The Score in Canada, a commercial was shown for WWE SummerSlam which showed The Undertaker.

Undertaker was originally scheduled to return at SummerSlam, but it now appears as though he will not return in an actual wrestling-type capacity until WWE Night of Champions.

It is also believed that he may make a non-wrestling capacity return at SummerSlam to reveal that his "attacker" was in fact Kane, but this has not been confirmed as of yet.

Smackdown's main event title scene is hurting and I wouldn't mind seeing Kane vs. Undertaker at Night of Champions but I sure as hell hope he doesn't win on his first try. And this could mean a Smackdown PPV main event too.

This means one of two things.


Either A) Kane will defeat Rey Mysterio, holding his world title, and the lights will go out and they will start flickering and all that spooky stuff with a message from The Undertaker.

Or B) The spooky stuff will happen in mid match, thus disorienting Kane and causing him to lose the match to Rey Mysterio (God Forbid).

I totally agree with this. I feel that Kane reigning for 3-4 months as a dominat champion would do wonders for the potential Taker/Kane showdown (which I hope will be in a HIAC). I always felt that the hype for The Undertaker's return is always alot more fun to watch than him actually appearing. Do all of the usual Taker stuff, lights going off, lighting bolts... The whole nine yards.

Still sorta sick of Undertaker's current character and more nostalgic for an older version. It was in this same scenario vs. Kane 6 years ago that he returned as the "Deadman", it would be fitting that he changed it up again this time with Kane.

The Nexus stuff should highlight SummerSlam and will main event but I feel as if Taker coming back and appearing/beating down Kane will take away from their focus. Hold off until the Smackdown after SummerSlam for sure.
