Born out of the playgrounds of New York City, the “And 1 Mixtape Tour” took streetball to the masses, challenging convention and picking up a team of basketball misfits along the way. “The Rise and Fall of AND1” traces the journey of how three young friends with a dream of bringing greater acclaim to the game they loved, connected with the underground artform of streetball, and ended up flipping the billion-dollar basketball industry on its head. AND1 co-founders along with streetball legends The Professor, Hot Sauce, Skip 2 My Lou, The Main Event, Shane the Dribbling Machine and more reflect on their experience and the brand's journey.

I grew up watching and buying AND1 Tapes because it blended my love of Basketball, and Hip Hop/Rap as a kid. I can't wait to see this August 23rd.​

And1 brand was outselling most of the basketball gear that wasn't Nike.

I loved the tours and the mix tapes, too old white people bought the brand and completely killed it.

Bring it back, basketball needs the streets, this tie wearing shit should be for strict schools with jerkoff coaches.

This looks interesting, but to me it was sort of a right time right place type of thing. For that time it was popular, but today's NBA is really fast pace, and exciting. So there isn't too much to differentiate between the two.
