Earlier this year in January a UK teen, then 16, brutally murdered his girlfriend.. he stabbed her in the back and head and then proceeded dismember her and place the body parts in bags.. does this sound familiar? Well if you've seen the show 'Dexter' on Showtime then it should.

It seems the kid had his own "dark passenger" in the form of a voice in his head which he called 'Ed'. Now at 17 he's been jailed for 25 years, it would've been a life sentence had he been an adult when tried.

I'm actually surprised there aren't more of these incidents with how popular that show is, if you want to read more about the story check the link below for more info.

Apparently the kid had Autism and was known for self-harming by the health authorities etc. but he it seems as if the lad was allowed to continue on as normal.

It's a horrific act, but the kid should have been monitored closer....

I don't think many places have a proper care system for these kind of people.
Yeah, it seems pretty fucked up that the signs were ignored, meanwhile people who were abused in care and have shown no flaws in their mental ability / parenting ability having their kids put into care because they may be at risk just because the parent was abused in care. Fuck this country

Terrible news.

Don't watch Dexter, kids. It's not for everyone, especially for those who aren't mentally stable.

A lot of shows aren't meant for the mentally unstable, apparently this kid had barely any monitoring from his family.. not to say they just let him do what he wanted but they didn't necessarily restrict him as much as they probably should've.
