'Taliban to be held in secret jail'
US spooks are working on a £15million top-secret "prison within a prison" in Afghanistan which has been dubbed Obama's Guantanamo.

The "black jail" - because it is so secret - will consist of three new buildings within the already secretive Bagram Airbase facility.

The entire prison, which holds more than 600 inmates, is expected to be handed over to the Afghan ministry of defence by next year. The CIA and other intelligence agencies will still have access to files and prisoners.

The US defence department denies the existence of the new prison but the Mirror understands that it will be completed in nine months.

It is believed it is being rushed because so many Taliban are being handed over to the authorities.

Pretty crafty Obama :tongue_ss: . How silly to make an accusation and then forward the news story to Americans. OH SHIT WAIT EVERYBODY omg another UK site confirms it

In other news British news, Simon Cowell set to be given knighthood
on the Queen’s Birthday.. She just wanted Cowell at her birthday party i guess

South Korea takes away North's allowance said:
South Korea freezes North Korea money ahead of Cheonan warship sinking report

South Korea on Monday froze funds for government exchanges with the North, a possible sign that Seoul is preparing for the results from an investigation into the March 26 Cheonan warship sinking that killed 46.

Thai Red Shirt leader dies said:
A leader of the anti-government Red Shirts has died after being wounded by a sniper's bullet during protests last week, hospital officials confirmed Monday.

Maj. Gen. Khattiya Sawasdipol was a renegade general better known as Seh Daeng, which means Red Commander.

Tensions in Bangkok ramped up when Sawasdipol was shot and wounded by a sniper's bullet Thursday.

His death came after four days of clashes between anti-government protesters and security forces killed 35 people -- with 11 of those deaths occurring in sporadic fighting throughout Sunday and overnight.

The Erawan Emergency Center also announced Monday that the fatalities include a soldier, the first such death since fighting broke out.

The government declared a holiday Monday and Tuesday "in order to ensure the safety of the public" after the protests paralyzed the city center.
