The media frenzy surrounding the controversial ending to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz boxing bout this weekend has no bounds. Even mixed martial arts fighters are embracing media roles. Just ask UFC veteran Tito Ortiz. He decided to take the microphone this past weekend during the post-fight press conference to ask Victor Ortiz why he looked so bad (Source: FightHype):
Ortiz's previous stints on the other side of the sport as a commentator or interviewer didn't go well at all. Neither did this encounter. He essentially asked Victor if he would do anything different in a rematch because he saw "little small mistakes" with him "backing up and not really throwing punches off". While I'm sure Ortiz meant well with the question, it's difficult not to take the route of sarcasm and take jabs at the situation. Tito Ortiz said he saw Victor Ortiz making little mistakes... in a boxing match? Yep. He did.
